A Ferrari owner was left in despair when a huge Ford pickup truck drove on top of his 458 Italia.
The driver had owned the car for just two weeks when the freak accident occurred, leaving the huge wheel of the truck parked on its bonnet.
A video shows the aftermath of the accident. It's not clear quite how it happened, but the giant Ford F150 seems to have driven onto the wedge-shaped Ferrari like it was a speed hump.
Further footage shows the Ferrari owner, on a mobile phone and wearing a yellow Ferrari t-shirt, saying that the pickup "jetted out in front of my car," and confirming that he'd owned the car for just a fortnight.
The Ferrari 458 Italia is the company's latest model, powered by a 4.5-litre V8 producing 570bhp. It costs £173,000 in the UK, sprints from 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 202mph.
But it looks like this particular model won't even be hitting 2mph for a while.

deserved it.

I got distracted by the related video.
I wouldn't think the damage is as bad as it looks, the engine isn't located at the front of the car.
deserved it.
No one deserves that no matter how big of a douche they are.
He was on a mobile device when he shouldn't have been. While whether he deserved it or not is based on one's perspective, we can assume he was at fault; his attention was not fully on the road.

That's true but the suspension and body could still be trashed. It won't be driving anywhere in a straight line. And it's a Ferrari, even a door ding costs thousands to fix.

He was on the phone after the accident. I don't see anything indicating he was on the phone before it.
Was that pickup truck alright? :ohdear:
I don't even see a scratch on it :v:
Good thing insurance companies exist then.
Am I the only person who thinks like this?:
Driving normal car - never gonna get in an accident
Driving fancy German car - OMFG!!1 Someone is gonna dent the Audi RS4!
Was that pickup truck alright? :ohdear:
It's a truck. Ofcorse it's alright.
That's exactly what happened to my car last summer. The costs ofcorse were only 7000€
I don't want to imagine how much the repairs will cost for this guy.

Only if he has the "Italian sports car vs. American Truck" insurance.

it'll buff out
Good thing that car is mid-engined.
Probably just costly body work to repair. Could be worse.

Except if the body is carbon fiber. If that's the case and it's warped/broken that whole body panel needs to be replaced.
That sucks, that car is beautiful.

Hot.
Only the Ferrari was damaged? Thank god, that truck could have been scratched.
News?
News?
Not really.
News?
Yeah, I'm not sure why a relatively mild accident is that important. I guess being expensive makes it interesting?
I find it funny how must people assume he is a douche just for owning a Ferrari. Or worse, some people think he deserved it for owning a Ferrari in the first place.
fucking truck drivers
I hate most truck drivers
yeah they usually seem to be douche bag drivers
deserved it.
Read better. "A video shows the aftermath of the accident"
It never says he was on the phone when he crashed.
