i personally find buzzfeed as stupid and cringe worthy as the next guy here but i stumbled across these videos some time ago i found them pretty entertaining basically just a couple of idiots try food from different restaurants at different price points from low to medium to high and decide which one has to most value for what they paid. i'm a total fatass so i just eat up (pun unintended) food videos like these. also as a total closet fag, the cast is cute as fuck like just fucking look at them god damn

i honestly don't give a shit about the food i eat, i want it quick and i want to not be hungry anymore :v: $8 pizza > $50 steak
Pretty fun to watch. I've gotta try some ridiculously overindulgent food at some point in my life.
so unfair that those cheap but high quality places exist, never seen anything like that in my hometown.
Honestly, my only problem with eating expensive steak is that chefs tend to get insane when you pass the $25 per meal point. For example, you sometimes will get the right amount of spice, or you'll get the crazy fuck who thinks coffee rub and truffle goes together. I'm not joking about the last one, by the way. :v:
so unfair that those cheap but high quality places exist, never seen anything like that in my hometown.
Most pizza restaurants in my town are very high quality and ridiculously cheap.
Meh, this seems to be mostly thinly veiled advertising for the restaurants. Their "reviews" doesn't really tell us anything.
Meh, this seems to be mostly thinly veiled advertising for the restaurants. Their "reviews" doesn't really tell us anything.
Had the same thought, especially how the cheaper place got way more screen time. Also its buzzfeed so it would come to no surprise
i honestly don't give a shit about the food i eat, i want it quick and i want to not be hungry anymore :v: $8 pizza > $50 steak
well mayne one isn't intended as a replacement for the other, you don't get a $50 steak just because you're hungry
i think it has to do with labour costs and taxes.
I don't think thats it honestly because they look to be in extremely trendy and popular places that could probably charge at least 50% more for all of their stuff and get away with it. That $5 and $7 pizza was the cheapest and most high quality pizza I have ever seen in my life, and the closest you can get to that price anywhere near me is a chain called Little Caesar's whose quality is so low it's nicknamed Little Sleazers.
Meh, this seems to be mostly thinly veiled advertising for the restaurants. Their "reviews" doesn't really tell us anything.
More like a thinly veiled plot to get paid for eating amazing food, I don't blame them :v: I really do like how they give the restaurants screentime to present themselves. Hearing about the thought and effort that goes into the food makes this infinitely more interesting.
i honestly don't give a shit about the food i eat, i want it quick and i want to not be hungry anymore :v: $8 pizza > $50 steak
I think it's nice to know for dates and other events where you go out with someone, or other people and you get to eat at a restaurant.
NYC is one of the best places in the world for cheap and amazing food The only tradeoff is that you have to be in that hellhole to eat it
On a remotely related note, an 80€ pair of jeans I bought from Dressmann ripped after about a month, but a 10€ pair from New Yorker are still good after 6 months or so.
I've eaten 7 $70+ meals in the last year thanks to friends corrupting my lifestyle. Regret nothing.
These videos have been popping up non-stop in my recommended feed the last couple of days
Most "luxury meals", it isn't the food that's expensive; you pay over half for the atmosphere, service and exclusivity. But then if the food has truffles in it, of course you have to pay that price. It is always not worth it unless trying to impress a company (or your ego).
i honestly don't give a shit about the food i eat, i want it quick and i want to not be hungry anymore :v: $8 pizza > $50 steak
Agreed it's why I eat dirt only. why spend money on food, taste does not matter
Blaze pizza is fucking awesome it's basically subway but not shitty
the mid range pizza looks fantastic. they did one for burgers and the expensive burger looks fucking tasty.
Agreed it's why I eat dirt only. why spend money on food, taste does not matter
Pretty sure the difference would be pizza and steak are food and dirt isn't?
also as a total closet fag, the cast is cute as fuck like just fucking look at them god damn
they're adorable omg
When you pay for an expensive meal, you are paying for the work the chef is known for, and you are paying for him to impress you with his best dishes. You are also paying for the whole ambiance, and if you are rich enough, the wine. Alot of people like to complain 'YOU WOULDN'T EVEN FEEL FULL!' But you have like 5 to 10 dishes served 1 after another, you'll definitely feel full at the end. Depending on what you like and how good the chef is, the experience varies. I've had really good expensive meals and really bad ones. The really good ones, makes you think of the cheap places and it can never top your experience at the places. Had $200 sushi in tokyo, best damn sushi ever.
