A BOY, aged 10, who has cancer, was on his way home after having a tumour removed from his brain, when he was killed in a car crash. Jack Reich, a longtime official and former president of North Dakota Stockmen's Association, was driving his family home after picking his son Vander from Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. His Chevy Surburban collided head-on with a pickup truck on Highway 14 near Dodge Centre, Minnesota. Mr Reich and Vander were killed, along with pickup truck driver, Scott Hodgman of West Concord, the New York Daily News reported. "This is such a tragedy. They are such good-hearted people, the salt of the earth; such good, good people," Stockmen's Executive Vice President Julie Ellingson told The Bismarck Tribune. "I wish they could have played out the rest of their story here on Earth. Vander loved to be alongside his dad with the cattle and the horses." Ms Ellingson said the boy's tumour was diagnosed on October 22 and the surgery was scheduled almost immediately. His father, along with his mother Mardee, were bringing him home to recuperate before he began treatment later this month, she said. Mardee Reich was seriously injured and has been flown back to Saint Mary's Hospital.
http://www.news.com.au/world/vander-reich-aged-10-killed-in-minnesota-crash-after-brain-surgery-to-remove-a-tumour-after-cancer-diagnosis/story-fndir2ev-1226513687652 That has to be the worst luck ever
Kid was too strong for Death, so Death had to cheat. :(
Damn, this happened like literally an hour from where I live. Death is such a cunt.
They must have been so excited that he survived they didn't pay attention to the road. RIP
Wow. Is Mrs. Reich the only survivor, or did they have more kids? I assume the former, and goddamn if that doesn't make it even worse. Kid avoids death, and gets killed on the way out, then this mother who just went through all this shit with her son having cancer is now left alone, her entire family killed. Shit, man.
Well shit. Poor kid.
This. Is. TERRIBLE.
That's just horrible.
This is so fucking awful.
Wow fuck this
Who the fuck rated this funny?
Death has a sense of humor apparently.
If there's a god (and as far as I'm concerned there's not), he must really fucking hate that kid. Poor lad. I can't even imagine how distraught his mother must be.
A really sick one. I was too lazy to hit edit.

Best of wishes to his his family, especially his mother

Wow.
That's like a total fuck you. As was said before, the survivor must be totally scarred emotionally. I guess it was God's will.
god sorta seems like a huge dick then
Here we go...
It's awful really, only the mother survived and is probably going to be struck with depression for the rest of her life. Life is strange
God I can't imagine the feeling of actually beating cancer, and then this happens. I mean, that's terrible luck, I feel awfully bad for his family and him
I feel bad for the mom, loosing her son and her husband on the same day.
I live out near this area. Apparently the father was one of my teacher's good friends. She was crying throughout the day. Life is a bitch.
I really hope alcohol wasn't a factor.
I really hope alcohol wasn't a factor.
because his parents were getting plastered whilst their kid was having an operation yeah please stick to watching ponies rather than comment on current affairs
now I'm sad, what a tragedy
