Actually, Mark Kirk vehemently opposes Trump, even going so far as to skip out on the RNC to distance himself from him. There's been a lot of talk about how Mark Kirk's stroke has affected him. The fact he's making a bunch of mistakes like this when historically, he was a moderate popular Republican in a blue district that survived the 2006 and 2008 waves make me think the stroke did more than anyone is willling to admit.
Its good that this shit comes out in the open though... the trump effect also makes for more honesty in politics.
Kirk was already losing, then he does this. 10/10 way to tank a campaign.

Kirk had an inspiring story the way he recovered from his stroke and relearned how to walk and talk to be able to return to the Senate. It's a shame that this is how his career is going to end.

She was born in Thailand so I don't know if she could actually run for President, unless she falls under a Ted Cruz type of situation then perhaps she could. Her father was American so maybe she could.

the actual rule is "natural born citizen" - that you'd qualify as a citizen at time of birth. being born abroad with 1 US citizen as a parent meets that.
