NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino may have to find some new attire for his "gym, tan, laundry" routine.
On Tuesday, clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) said it would offer "substantial payment" to MTV's The Jersey Shore's cast members to stop wearing the brand on air.
"We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans," an Abercrombie & Fitch spokesperson said in a statement. "We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response."
The reality show, currently in its fourth season, features hard-partying and hookups in locations ranging from the show's origin, the Jersey Shore to the current season in Florence, Italy. [/quote]

All I have to say is :v:
Well I really don't understand why would anyone want to associate their brands with this show
So how much do we need to pay them to get them to stop completely?
This is pretty funny
As a resident of New Jersey, can I ask to pay them to stop living?
I wonder how long it'll take until other companies follow suit

You can pay me. Not that I would kill anyone for money.
I'd kill them for free.
I foresee an Ed Hardy monopoly
I like A&E and I'm not a douchbag, stop making me look bad!

Can I pay New Jersey to float off into the ocean?
Abercrombie for the win. Also, I am embarrassed to be from the same state as those punks.
What makes me sad is that they're actually getting money for this. People with no skills and no use to society making money so they're not associated with a brand. Not to mention the huge amount of revenue they make from the worthless show. If I wanted to see a bunch of idiots doing idiot things, I'd go clubbing.
i wanna be the second man to punch snooki in the face
Rather than pay them, why not sue them and destroy the show in the process?
Everybody knows Abercrombie is for rich guidos. Trying to get it off Jersey Shore isn't going to change that.
I've never shopped at A&E, I just remember the MadTv skits portraying the company as only hiring racist, unhelpful, feminine gay men.

because madtv is where I get my knowledge on businesses, I don't go in there because the amount of fucking cologne they spray everywhere puts me at the brink of death
Wait, I thought the people who watched Jersey Shore were all brainless people who incidentally wore Abercombie-made stuff because that's what the cast (or at least "The Situation"—fucking dumbass name) wore.
I finally have respect for A&F. I will no longer see them as the store that makes the mall smell like a male whore house.
Oh, so that store in the mall with pictures of guys without shirts on the walls is A&F.
To be honest I think the Jersey Shore appeals to a lot of the A&F target market.
