Another quality post by PassTheBong.
But anyway, I really can't understand these people. If they were born in Sweden, England or whereever - why go to Syria? And why in the world would they bring their children?

My town has quite a lot of Muslims and the majority of them DO say those things every two to three words.

Speak for yourself, seems like you didn't even watch the video.
2nd or 3rd generation immigrant extremists are the worst. They generally are fed propaganda and all sorts of things by the local loon, then they go out and do things like this. I'm sure there's a lot of heartbroken parents out there.

I think it's so scary that terrorists can be bred like that gains their will
Have fun losing your British citizenship...
Syria is just turning into the biggest vacuuming clusterfuck of the decade.
We've got the Russians on one side supplying the Syrian government with arms without hesitation, with shipments ranging from small arms to anti-ship missiles systems. We've got the United States and her allies supplying the "rebels" (read: a mismash of different groups vying for power on the edge of infighting), who in turn are begin supplied manpower by Islamic extremists from all over the world, which is absolutely mind-boggling.
I mean, fuck, you've got people pouring in from all over Europe, all over Asia, Russia, and even the United States. I read a report a couple of days ago (I don't think I could dig it up but I'll try) that said that several American Islamists have already been tracked flying out of the country, landing in Saudi and other countries near Syria, and then hiking their way in to fight for the rebels. The whole situation is turning into this extremely brutal grind-fest.

And caught in the middle of this shit fest is just normal civilians trying to survive.
We really shouldn't have let it get this bad. Its Bosnia all over again.
They are told it is what a good Muslim would do by their local imam.

I say let em go over there.
Soon they'll find their virgins, as well.
Don't know why anyone would go from living in a relatively peaceful place such as Britain, England/London, wherever. To a shitty, wartorn area, such as Syria.
Doesn't make sense to me.

Since when did relegion ever make sense from a modern standpoint, a western standpoint.

Oh fuck! A zing of this magnitude hasn't been recorded since the Great Zingstorm of 1936
Tell me about the Zingstorm.
Perfect sitcom material @ 1:24
"Honey, I'm home"

The worst part is that this has the potential of getting far, far worse than Bosnia, Serbia, or anything like the Balkans. At least that wasn't a proxy war.
Speak for yourself, seems like you didn't even watch the video.
Actually I did though. Why are they going there exactly? They're saying it's Jihad, but is the war in Syria really a holy war? Is this just to impose a theocracy in Syria or something? Are they simply helping the rebels because they feel a connection to Syria, even though they were born elsewhere? I really can't understand these people, even though I might be understanding what they're saying.
Hey assholes, you don't bring your children to a warzone.

Religious extremism. It just blots out any views that aren't your own. It doesn't matter how the reality is, if these people get bombarded by religious propaganda by some idiot on the street and suck it all up, they just do whatever he says

I doubt it. The balkan was utterly brutal with civilians being often enough the primary target. Here the civs are generally standing apart and sometimes end up as targets of opportunity.
They're suffering mostly due to the complete collapse of the nation. But the balkan wars were evil, ugly, nasty and still has a lot of fallout today with all the mine fields for instance.
Its strange how all these people are marching to Syria for some kind of Islamic holy war and that its basically being supported by the US.
0:57 to 1:08 just sums up everything I find wrong with religion. Wasting this life and helping to KILL OTHER PEOPLE for the idea that they'll have a good afterlife - one that's debateable that even exists.
I don't mind people doing this, it just annoys me to see people waste their life. And it's absolutely atrocious in a case such as this, where instead of wasting their life, they are actively trying to kill other people.
The scariest thing about the conflict is that it's essentially Russia (and I think China? Or did they pull out) vs the US behind the scenes. Here comes the Second Cold War...
It's basically this in a nutshell:

I think the accusations of it being a proxy war are over inflated, it is a lot less intense than previous actual proxy wars. Really it is more a proxy war between Iran and US/the west if anything, not Russia.

You mean of 39, when Chamberlain just repeated "I have no more territorial demands" when Hitler invaded Poland. Causing him to get Zings from China, the Commonwealth, and France but dumbed by Italy and clocks by Germany?
Let them all go to syria
