xbone knows who you are and how you are,
Disney knows how to touch you and where to touch you.
Disney tech has always been insane... From the multiplane camera, to the animatrons, to some of the first polarized 3D tech, they've constantly innovated in every area of their work.
It's kind of amazing, really.
that nozzle looks like something you could put over your penis.
Just saying
I was born in the right time
This is really cool
[sub][sub][sub]PS what was the name of that 3D CAD program they were using at the beginning. I remember using it but can't remember the name for the life of me.[/sub][/sub][/sub]

zbrush?
Not only is it amazing, it's 3D printable.
Good job Disney.

I'm not sure what kind of printing material they used (resin?), but the material they are using is idea for this.
speaking of 3d printing

funny how I practically killed the other post I made which I'm more excited about.
One of the reasons why I was put off from the Kinect was actually because of a lack of something like this. When I play a game where I'm supposed to hit something, I kind of need the sensation of feedback from the object. Otherwise I feel like nothing is happening and I feel like an idiot.
great concept, using air like that for haptic feedback
terrible use of language in the video though, ugh
They used to have stuff like this in those "shrek 4d" theaters at movie world (australia)
Spiders run up the screen at one point and all these tiny jets of air blown up your legs and body, was creepy as hell but rather cool at the same time.
I can see this being the sort of device thats cool and all but isnt going to be THAT successful just because of how out there it is.
This + Oculus Rift!
Flailing your hands at screens rather than using buttons is still a stupid gimmick
You COULD just move your hands around to 3d sculpt like that guy was but its going to be inaccurate and shitty, that's basically how the whole thing goes
You COULD pretend to be iron man but in reality it would be much easier and quicker to just press the buttons on your remote rather than dance for kinect 2

I've always thought this, it's not really practical and it's too inaccurate for anything more useful than games we had for Eye Toy on PS2. Literally most games that use Kinect could have (and some did) work with Eye Toy.
I'd like to think that one day the technology will get better, but then [b]we're always limited by the space of our rooms[/b] and so walking or doing anything remotely realistic with the tech goes out the window. I like what Garry did with Kinect, but again, if you can't walk around in 3D space in your room, you can't walk around in 3D space in the game, and the whole thing becomes a bit of a gimmick for anything other than crude poses. Haptic feedback on a tablet, maybe, but seriously there's no advantage to waving your hand OVER the screen than waving your hand ON the screen

either zbrush or sculptris probably
Some of these concepts look so cool

Especially with this one and the whole changing music with just touching your hands could be so useful when you can't be bothered getting the phone out of your pocket

And even the lamest of those are amazing!

When he said "the nozzle" this immediately came to my mind:

Oculus rift, omni-treadmill, kinect or other controllers, and a whole room covered in these? Gaming tech is getting insane nowadays.
