I'm glad that he's caught on to his constant screaming in his joke delivery and is trying to limit that.
I'm glad that he's caught on to his constant screaming in his joke delivery and is trying to limit that.
I agree. If you've seen his actual non-critic reviews of things, he's actually very good at regular reviewing, and his humour tends to be much better when he's got his normal tone rather than the screaming. His going over the top can work, just only if it's something that isn't used most of the time. One thing that did bother me was the straw critics on the sofa, although I'm guessing the blind praise was part of the joke. [editline]25th July 2012[/editline] This was one of his best recent episodes though.
Personally, TOD and Crystal Skull both have a place in my mind as the two "not-great" Indiana Jones films. Crystal Skull gets too much flak IMO (but yes, it's still not that great of an Indiana Jones film), and the nostalgic fanboys are quick to say that TOD is a better movie while it really is not. They're both equally mediocre when compared to Raiders and Last Crusade, and George Lucas doesn't know what he is doing anymore. Let's leave it at that.

Considering some of the other shit he's reviewed, Temple of Doom was pretty decent.
"Is there anything more annoying than a person who just screams every other line they say? I didn't like ToD much as a kid due to the lack of Nazis. It's not to bad now.
I remember the raft scene bugging me the first time I saw it and it hasn't changed a bit.
Haven't watched the video yet so I don't know if he mentioned it, but TOD is actually a prequel, because they didn't want to have Indiana Jones fight nazis again.
one of the best cameos
Fun fact - The Sword vs Gun bit in the first movie was actually improvised on set, as Harrison Ford couldn't do the planned big fight correctly.
Fun fun fact - The reason it was improvised was Harrison Ford actually suffering from dysentery for about a month during filming.
My personal opinion is Raiders of the Lost Ark Last Crusade Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Temple of Doom.
Whats funny is the fact Willie's screaming is used to break glass and solve puzzles in the Lego Indiana Jones video game.
That was a good review. I laughed quite a bit, and at the same time he had very valid points. If he keeps it up, this series is gonna get a lot better.
I personally like KoCS, and Temple of Doom is my least favorite; the characters in it were just so annoying. Last Crusade is one of my favorites though.
Honestly, I liked KoCS a lot more then TOD. Sure, it had it's bullshit moments, but overall there were just a lot more place they went to and seeing Indy back in was just awesome as well. Also, it had Marion in it. Marion is badass
Makes joke about his obnoxious yelling in reviews that annoys people, doesn't stop.
I liked TOD. It's quite over the top, but I found it really fun and engaging nontheless. The stupid/dumb parts just made it more enjoyable in a good way.
For the first time I actually completely disagree with him. I find myself agreeing with Plinkett's opinion on Temple of Doom.

He says Crystal Skull left no impact on people, but I'm scared of ants now because of it.

I think Crystal Skull left an impact, a similar impact the Star Wars Prequels left.
Temple of Doom was the weakest of the original trilogy, but it does have a soft spot in my heart. Despite its silliness it's still an enjoyable flick.
