Hello, Facepunch. I've heard that bananas contain indigestible starch when green and that those starches become digestible when turning ripe. What I have are a bunch of green bananas and I plan on boiling them in hot water, then freezing them with some artificial sweetener for breakfast. What state will the banana be in? Is it going to be packed full of sugar at that point? What if they're just boiled and not frozen?
That's not how ripening works you tool. [editline]4th July 2013[/editline] All you're going to get from that is overboiled, mulchy unripe bananas.
Bury the bananas in a bucket of rice and cover it for a day.
If you really need to make some bananas ripen quicker put them in a plastic bag for a while
You misunderstand. I don't want them to ripen. I don't like how when I ask a question people assume shit and then call me an idiot. Well thanks for the answers anyway.
What state will the banana be in?
Ruined
I dunno about you but that sounds like an awful breakfast. Just go slice em into your cereal or something.
Wait for the Bananas to get ripe then freeze them.
dude what why would you rather eat starch you can't digest than starch you can, why would you boil a banana, just why in general
You just want to eat artificially sweetened, indigestible bananas?
Wait so what the fuck were you asking?
he's asking and also he asked [editline]4th July 2013[/editline] also, NEVER HAVE FREEZE DRIED BANANAS it takes ALL the nutrition out and makes them taste like shit
This thread confused me more than the shemale porno I watched at age 8.
you get so high
op what the fuck entered your head to make you think this was a good idea why don't you just eat the banana
op what the fuck entered your head to make you think this was a good idea why don't you just eat the banana
probably too ~mainstream~ for him [editline]5th July 2013[/editline] or he enjoys the taste of ruined food

I still don't know what OP is trying to accomplish why would you do this just why
He was probably thinking that indigestible starch+heat>digestible sugars. I'm p. sure that's not how it works.
I guess it's a slightly deformed cold banana.
I dunno about you but that sounds like an awful breakfast. Just go slice em into your cereal or something.
God damn that shit's delicious.

Also starch is digestible.

Well thanks for the answers anyway.
if you didn't want them to ripen you should've mentioned that in OP or maybe not fronted the topic with "unripe has indigestible, ripe has digestible" or maybe you could have gone all out and maybe made a clear question or post but that might be too difficult for you
Has anyone tried this yet? I need to know what happens to green bananas after you boil/freeze them asap. I've got a report due ON MONDAY.
