Nice formatting. :v: I can't believe it took this long to go to wiiU.
How doesn't Microsoft still own it?
So that's the "surprise" and insider mentioned. Welp. :V
How doesn't Microsoft still own it?
??? Microsoft still owns Minecraft (or well, Mojang, but same-same).
How doesn't Microsoft still own it?
Microsoft still owns it, and are listed as co-developer on Nintendo's official site.
Would've preferred it to be on the 3DS.
lol this is the ~mysterious announcement~
How doesn't Microsoft still own it?
When microsoft bought the IP they said they weren't gonna make it platform exclusive, I guess this is them keeping their word?
Minecraft is like the new Doom, port it to as many platforms as you can.
Would have run like shit if it was.
Nope Runs at a stable 40-50 FPS
Would have run like shit if it was.
The New 3DS is more than capable to run Minecraft. It's not a weak device.
That's pretty neat I guess.
The New 3DS is more than capable to run Minecraft. It's not a weak device.
It runs pretty average at best on the vita, I doubt the 3DS would be able to run it better.
It runs pretty average at best on the vita, I doubt the 3DS would be able to run it better.
The video i posted before runs on the regular 3DS, would only run better on a 3DS.
The video i posted before runs on the regular 3DS, would only run better on a 3DS.
The video you posted is of a homebrew minecraft style game. It doesn't have any of the complexities of Minecraft such as enemy/friendly AI, better lighting and more comprehensive world generation. It is in no way a good comparison of actual minecraft, it was developed as a neat little tech demo for the new homebrew scene.
A procedurally generated game with as much intriquite variables as Minecraft wouldn't run as well on 3DS as you like to think, it's not the graphical fidelity (lol) of Minecraft that would hold it back, but rather the sheer amount of things that go on whilst playing it. Maybe a barebone vanilla version without NPCs, Biomes and weather would suffice and perform better.
That's cool and all but uh... Modding API?
Imagine all the money they could rake in with Minecraft Amiibos with custom skins...
Imagine all the money they could rake in with Minecraft Amiibos with custom skins...
Minecraft merchandise is already raking in a ludicrous sum. Putting a chip under one of those, or maybe even one of those Minecraft Youtuber toys, would be one of the smartest decisions Microsoft could make.
That's cool and all but uh... Modding API?
It is for the best to forget about it. They've had a very long time to implement a proper system but never did.
Nice formatting. :v: I can't believe it took this long to go to wiiU.
I too was wondering why it was taking so long. It seems like a good fit for the console, and the dual-screen functionality seems like it'd be perfect for the game.
Minecraft merchandise is already raking in a ludicrous sum. Putting a chip under one of those, or maybe even one of those Minecraft Youtuber toys, would be one of the smartest decisions Microsoft could make.
Yeah, I imagine every kid and their sheep would want to get their hands on a Stampy Cat Amiibo. Joseph Garrett would probably be quite happy with that, to boot.
If they don't fully utilize gamepad features (when playing on-tv at least) I'll be mad
My chance to finally try the game, I feel.
My chance to finally try the game, I feel.
If you want to try the game, get the PC version, it's always going to be the superior one. It's hard to find a PC Minecraft WONT run on.
Minecraft is like the new Doom, port it to as many platforms as you can.
I have a version of Doom on a USB somewhere that runs through Excel. You just open a .xlsx file and voila, DOOM.
Oh, That's cool. Is there any new content they've added or is it the same boring game as it was in 2011? I mean terraria started out the same way but has expanded in so many ways.
I find it funny how, at in least the quoted part, more was said about how the existing console skin packs(except the Rare Pack, because that is obviously XBox exclusive) would be available as zero hour paid DLC than information about the port itself. Granted anyone born in the last few years should know what Minecraft is, it still should have been more than "Minecraft is coming to WiiU AND LOOK AT THESE PAID ADD ONS AVAILABLE AT LAUNCH!!!1".
IDK how I feel about the Skyrim pack coming to a console that doesn't have Skyrim.
