This movie proves we Koreans know how to make drama films.

This film is about group of people that has their own conflicts and problems, while a megatsunami is headed toward them.
This is one of the only two films that made me cry, and there's a god damn good reason for it. Haeundae is a Korean disaster film that really is sad. What makes this difference from any other disaster film like Knowing and shit, is that: You actually care about the character. I mean, fuck the characters from Knowing and horror films in which characters are like cardboards, I didn't really give a shit when anyone died in Halloween, in fact, I wished I could've killed them myself because they were so dull.
That's the exact opposite in this film, you guys sympathize with the characters the instant the tsunami comes, and want them to live. There's SEVERAL sad moments in this film that made me cry, and even though the whole thing is subtitled (It's all Korean language, no dubbing), majority of the audience that doesn't know what the fuck they're saying ended up crying, that's how good we Koreans are at this. I mean shit, Korean dramas are one thing, but fuck, this is the epitome of a sad story. I usually hate the new movies that tries to make you cry, but I definitely loved this, and I recommend a 100%. I have no fucking idea how this has 6.0 in IMDb, this is better shit then the regular crap Hollywood spews out. This has everything you would want in a film, character development, action, thrills, and etc.
This whole fucking film is ingenious and you all should watch it if you finally want a film that'll make you cry. If you don't, your a sociopath with no compassion for human whatsoever.
Warning however, and also a spoiler, kind of.
[sp] The first half isn't in disaster but foreshadows it. They spend the first half developing the characters enough that you'll love them enough to really feel sad for them when the megatsunami hits[/sp]

a bridge seems like an awful place to be when a megatsunami hits
Is it bad if the guy's expression makes me laugh?
I had a dream about something like this once I kid you not.
looks good, but i don't know where i would find it in stores/online.

no, but after you watch the film, you'll cry because of the character's expressions.
The cars in the poster look like cardboard cutouts.
Also do you pronounce the title of the movie like Hyundai is pronounced?
Looks like a good movie...but where could I get it?
Isn't Haeundae a car manufacturer?
Nah, I know its Hyundai.
Film looks like a Korean 'Day after Tomorrow'.

It is, but I didn't like that film because the characters weren't that developed at all, and I watched the film mainly for the special effects. This film made me cry.

Heh-Oohn-Deh
(Heh as in a slight chuckle like, "Heh, I could easily do that.")
(Oohn as in Moo with no M and an N at the end.)
(Dae as in Devil)
Hopefully they didn't make this film like they make their games.
Hopefully they didn't make this film like they make their games.
Yes because you obviously have grinding in movies.
:downs:
the first half of this movie sounds like quite a grind
the first half of this movie sounds like quite a grind
They don't level up or anything or find loot everywhere they go.
you don't get itttt
Hopefully they didn't make this film like they make their games.
I'll give you that, we Koreans couldn't make games if the whole Valve team helped us out. But drama film or tv series? We're the Kings of it, no one even comes close.
you don't get itttt
I do get it, building up character and getting to know them better.
But that isn't tedious or stupid as fuck as grinding is.
The poster looks like it came out of the Creationism Corner
If you like this you're gonna love 괴물 (Monster).
If you like this you're gonna love 괴물 (Monster).
Or 차우, but that was pretty shit.
Am I the only one who read the (what I'm assuming to be the title) as oshit?
Is it bad if the guy's expression makes me laugh?
He's actually smiling. Maybe he's thinks mega tsunami are hardcore, and he's going for a rough ride..
Also, the title sounds like something a Bleach character would say.

Obviously because Japanese people and Koreans are the same as Australians are to British people.

Pornos do.
Also, I was too thinking this was pronounced like Hyundai. I'm not much into this type of movie, they just end up seeming really weird to me.
"Hyundai supports this film.
Even though they spelled our name wrong but got our pronunciation correct."
"Hyundai supports this film.

It isn't even pronounced Hyundai.
Which korea filmed it.
