• Woman gets DUI for streaming herself driving drunk
The young woman allegedly broadcast her illegal escapade over the weekend on Periscope, an app that allows users to live stream from their phones. In the shaky video, she says she's drunk and doesn't know where she is going. She also says she thinks she's driving on a flat tire.
Video in the url, this is nearly unbelievable http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/13/us/woman-live-streams-drunk-driving/
No url?
Anyone have a link to the raw periscope footage she streamed?
She is a young professional with a bright future. When her court date is set I will be entering a plea on her behalf of not guilty...
So says her attorney... You cannot be fucking serious?
Wow, driving drunk is one thing, but driving drunk whilst livestreaming it and stating how drunk you are is beyond stupid. I really hope this leaves a permanent mark on her life, she basically endangered other people and herself and if she gets off with a slap on the wrist, it'll be a huge disappointment. One time I drove to out to meet friends and we spontaneously ended up changing plans and going drinking. I had no idea and I had my car stuck in city parking. I risked getting a ticket rather than driving home drunk. Woke up the next day at 5am with a shitty hangover and made my way down to the parking lot to put more time on my parking ticket. I'd rather do that shit than have my license revoked / end up with a permanent mark against me for the rest of my life, let alone living with the thought of having killed someone cause of a stupid judgement call.
LiveLeak pulling through as always. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=842_1444733677 This video starts in the car, though. Doesn't show her drinking before, and it ends before she presumably got pulled over.
Now that's stupidly funny.
So says her attorney... You cannot be fucking serious?
Pretty much the exact opposite of anything resembling professional
What a dumb cunt.
So if police can charge her with DUI than why can't police charge those guys who ran their super cars at high speeds through a residential neighborhood? That's a special kind of stupid though
This is another bright side of ever present technology in our lives: all the exceptionally stupid criminals get caught extremely easily.
Dumb shitbag.
stupid woman but she's young so this will probably just be a small mark in her life, she'll pull herself together and become a productive member of society. I know I've done stupid and questionable things when I was young but at least I was smart enough not to make a video or live stream it.
first offense is usually a slap on the wrist but as hot as this case is and as drunk as she was I wouldn't be surprised if they threw the book at her.
Think about it. 7 years ago this wasn't even possible. Now and days we can just stream the evidence of us DUI and get the fines later! We truly live in the future.
first offense is usually a slap on the wrist but as hot as this case is and as drunk as she was I wouldn't be surprised if they threw the book at her.
Drunk drivers should have the book thrown at them. It's unacceptable behavior. It kills people.
Drunk drivers should have the book thrown at them. It's unacceptable behavior. It kills people.
To be completely fair what is considered in some states to be drunk driving is stupidly low. Arizona has a DUI law of "if the cop thinks it then you are drunk even with just one beer" http://alcoholcontrols.com/lebaclibyst.html I'm not defending drunk driving but just offering a counter point
Drunk drivers should have the book thrown at them. It's unacceptable behavior. It kills people.
you don't have to be over the limit to be arrested in some states. I learned that the hard way. I was several points under the limit after having a drink with a meal but appeared inebriated due to my ataxia and was arrested on that basis.
