Hope they make full stealth playthroughs more interesting. It sucked that they gave you all these really cool murder tools like explosive bolts and bullets, razor wires, summoning swarms of man-eating rats, turning stealth-killed bodies into ash, etc., but when it came to non-violent tools you had choking, sleeping darts, and... Well... Not to mention how harshly you were punished for killing.
Here's to hoping there's none of that binary moral choice shit in this one
Did this really need a sequel?
Did this really need a sequel?
Fuck yes
Did this really need a sequel?
To be fair, it heavily hinted at going to some of the other places in the world (like Tyvia or Pandyssia), the ending sucked at giving closure, and the gameplay had quite a bit of room to be improved. It could benefit from it.
"Darkness of Tyvia"? So it looks like it won't be in Dunwall again, that's nice.
Here's to hoping there's none of that binary moral choice shit in this one
Definitely. It's really disappointing how there are so many gadgets in the game, but most of them are all lethal, and being lethal in any way just gets you bad looks all around with the worst endings. Hope they work around that aspect, so it's not simply black and white.
Did this really need a sequel?
The world protrayed in Dishonored was an interesting one, I think it warrants a 2nd look.
Dishonored was okay, but it's the DLC I really liked.
Did this really need a sequel?
It most likely won't be an actual sequel given the different possible endings. They could go with one of them and make it canon but I'm not sure that would be a good idea. My bet is on a story set in the same universe but with completely different characters (and places). There are a few other people who have the same powers Corvo has, after all.
I'd love another game like Dishonored.
Maybe this one will be longer than 10 minutes.
I think Dishonored is the perfect example of a game that would benefit from a sequel. Tons of room for refinement and improvement, tons of room to explore the world and flesh it out more, lots of established concepts to base a story on. I'm looking forward to what they come up with. Also more Viktor Antonov artwork, hell yeah

The real problem is how they kept telling you about the ending and the moral-o-meter constantly, which made the player tend to aim for an ending rather than just play in their own style.
"Darkness of Tyvia"? So it looks like it won't be in Dunwall again, that's nice.
It's the northernmost isle so expect something like this:

The first game had some real potential, and it just fell flat to me. I'm interested in seeing them flesh out their world some more as well as seeing a more difficult experience.

Also, I did a Ghost + Clean hands run, it was fairly interesting.
Not to mention how harshly you were punished for killing.
lol but thats the selling mechanic of the game

Being able to waltz through any room by blinking on ceiling lamps is pretty bad. Also please don't give me quest markers that tell me exactly where my target is in real time.

It is harder when you try not getting seen at all. Although it might have something to do with how I forget that there are other powers than just Blink and Dark Vision.
All of those "leak" images are from the same or similar angle. Calling bullshit until its actually announced.
Not to mention how harshly you were punished for killing.
You're not punished though. If you kill a lot of enemies you get more enemies to kill, that sounds good to me.
I really liked dishonored, the aesthetic, the gameplay, it was really good. I hope we get something as grand as the first one.

For those who aren't aware, Tyvia is the northernmost Island and is really mountainous, harsh and cold. Winter Themed Steampunk Stealthy Game I hope it's real because that shit sounds awesome, and Dishonored is one of my favourite games. I remember one example being that a guy tried to walk up some stairs, and when a guard said he's not allowed he just walked away confused and didn't even try. The entire point was to be free with how you approach things yet the people who played just had their minds go blank. I know this isn't directly related to the AI being a little bit blind but it may have caused them to make the AI less alert. But to be honest I thought the AI was plenty alert when you play on the harder difficulties. Which I recommend everyone does.

-snip-
Dude, spoilers
Considering the golden cat level was the one that was shown off multiple times in trailers and gameplay videos with the pendleton dudes in it I really don't think it counts as a spoiler at all
