A number of super PACs supporting presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump are struggling to meet expectations and fundraising goals, forcing them to retool their efforts with just four months until Election Day.
These groups - which have the ability to collect unlimited contributions from individuals, corporations and labor unions - have fallen well short of their expected goals of raising millions of dollars in the initial months of their formation. The controversies that have followed Trump since he effectively locked up the GOP nomination has been a major challenge, PAC officials say, and competition between the competing super PACs has further hindered the efforts.
At this point in the campaign cycle four years ago, the main super PAC backing Republican nominee Mitt Romney, Restore Our Future, had spent nearly $50 million. As of the end of May, three Trump super PACs, Great America PAC and Rebuilding America Now PAC, and the Committee for American Sovereignty, have spent less than $4 million, according to FEC filings.
Well Trump doesn't want super PAC/donor money. Because then they ask for favors from him.
He wants smaller donations because he represents the people.
Based on the fundraising calls he's made to British parliament members and Icelandic parliament members I think he prefers foreign national money

nice avatar
It's almost as if he is nigh bankrupt

Except he's barely even started fundraising from "small donors" either. He had a whopping $1.3 million in the bank at the start of this month. He has less money on hand than fifty campaigning house members.
Instead his campaign is asking foreign nationals (UK MPs) for donations. Which is strictly against FEC rules. It's illegal. Criminal. Good work.
nice avatar
It's almost as if he's a Trump shill whose opinions and blatherings mean absolutely nothing.
And apparently he doesn't even live in the US.

also how is someone who's personality can be summed up with RICHER THAN U ever going to be able to represent the people (predominantly lower middle class)

And the other side does this better?
If I remember correctly Hillary spent her donation money on noise machines to keep the public out of her speeches.

No it doesn't, it means that even the lobbies don't believe that he has a shot
Theoretically, he doesn't need donations, right? I mean, he seems to have enough of a supporting base to at the very least give Hillary a bloody nose, especially since there's no alternative republican candidate that can stand up to him.

Your base doesn't actually accomplish much of anything until election day if they're not donating. You need money to run a campaign staff in at least the battleground states, buy ad space, and generally push your message, and attack the opposition's. Even if your base is all just volunteering to try to make up for it, volunteers ultimately require a paid field organizer to train and direct their activities. At the end, money is going to be necessary in some way, shape, or form.

They said that during the primaries.
You need obscene amounts of money to win?
They said that during the primaries.
republican vote was split massively though
trump relies largely on the media reporting on him - which means whenever he says something retarded

Really?
They said that during the primaries.
It's easy to win with only 10% of the primary votes when there's 20 different people running.
This strategy won't win 1v1
