Trump continues with overseas investments despite pledge not to ahead of his coronation
The Trump Organization will press ahead with multimillion-dollar plans to expand one of the president-elect’s golf resorts in Scotland, despite its apparent pledge to halt new investments overseas.
Trump officials said the plans for the Trump International Golf Course Scotland in Aberdeenshire – likely to immediately involve extending its boutique hotel and building a second 18-hole golf course – did not conflict with his promise not to pursue new or “pending” deals outside the US.

Crucially, President-elect Trump has not agreed to sell or transfer his shares in the golf resorts, which means he retains ultimate ownership and stands to benefit from increases in the value of those investments. He owns 100% of the shares in the Aberdeenshire course, which has consistently made heavy losses. He has personally loaned it nearly £40m, and it lost £1.1m last year.
Actions speak louder than words.
So, at what point does the law actually start pushing back?
impeachment on coronation day lel

When Trump is president, when someone brings it up, when the impeachment vote reaches a majority in the house, and when that vote after that reaches 2/3rds majority in the senate.
Daily reminder that the Senate and House is controlled by spineless republicans.

Well wouldn't the Republicans prefer to have Pence as president than Trump?

Problem is that Trump's base, as the Trump supporters on Facepunch demonstrate everyday, don't actually give a shit about Trump's blatant corruption and lying, and would be incredibly upset at the Republican establishment if they actually impeached Trump for his crimes. Not until it's more politically advantageous for Republican politicians to get a spine and abandon Trump will we see anything.
What a great businessman, giving that golf course a small loan of $40m and then still losing $1m at the end. Wow. Great planning and use of funds.
but guys, he's not even in office yet! /s
At this point, wonder if he'll make it to office.
Though, with how spineless most Americans are (crying about not wanting to write to their representatives because it's too much work), I wouldn't be surprised if he did either.
I don't understand how all of America isn't pissed off with Trump?
It seems he can get away with anything.

There are people (including here) that think he can do no wrong and that Hillary would have done it worse.

You don't understand mate!
The libtards can't get over Hillary's lost, you know how conservatives know that?
By bringing up Hillary as a counter-argument in every argument.
That'll show them, I guess when the right says "Hillary lost, get over it", they really just want to do it themselves.
Welcome to Eastern European politics, except in America

I asked some friends who were die-hard Trump supporters, "How can you still defend Trump after everything he's done since being elected?", and their response was: "Trump won. Get over it."

This is an example of those mean liberals refusing to engage in meaningful conversation.
(Honestly, you have every right to phrase that question that way, but judging how easy it is to take a shred of anger and amplify it to "LOL GET OVER IT." when faced with a difficult question.)

Surprise surprise. Politics is essentially football to some people. There's no rationale, or criticism, or trying to make anything better.
To be fair, I don't think all people who voted for Trump are like this, but this viewpoint is infuriatingly stupid regardless of which side it's on. No, no one is going to "get over" the fact that he's president because he's now in the most visible position of power in the world and his decisions will affect our daily lives. That's the opposite of something anyone should get over. It's a reason to ramp up critique, as long as that critique is well-reasoned.

And many Trump voters just don't care.
