For most of my life I have thought of others before myself, and I pride myself on that. I feel that if I do something nice for someone else then I will get the kind gesture returned in due time. All the little things I have done such as picking up a shift for a friend at work or giving a friend/relative some money when in need, finally returned to me.
About 2 months ago my Dad gave me this car,

and 2 nights ago I got a $200 amp and a 10" sub for $50.

Things like this make me want to do more good things, because I know that at some point in time it will return to me. Its a nice feeling knowing that if you help someone in need, one day you might be in their position and need the same help, and get it.
I'm kinda 50/50 when it comes to believing in Karma.
I haven't killed anyone and I'm still alive Karma really paid off.
Karma is not real. :colbert:
Omg u so kol.
I find 50% of the time, when you do a nice gesture, the recipient is a giant faggot who will never return the favour.
Maybe that's just highschool.

It's a matter of what you believe in. In my experience, it is very real.
I don't think of karma as a mystic entity that repays good and bad debts.
I think of karma as the word you use for when good and bad debts are payed entirely by fate.
Hi, my name is Earl....
So you only do nice things because you want the reward back?
Heh.
Why would karma reward you with materialistic pleasure instead of spiritual pleasure?
Did alot of bad things and i'm still standing. I think my karma system crashed or something
If you are nice then people will like you and enjoy your company and do nice things for you. If you're a dick, no one wants a dick in their face. There is no karma, being nice just makes people like you and being an asshole just get shit back in your face by other people who you are a dick to.

I guess thats pretty much what karma is. Well put sir
maybe you should do a lot more nice things b/c that car looks shitty
The whole karma magic wooooo shit is not real.
But the thought about being nice, other people seing that you are nice thus being nice back to you. Is logical and make sense.
u do more good things you may get a bugatti veyron
Op proves there are no such things as selfless deeds, if a person does something good for others it's purely for selfish reasons. Either for karma to pay them back, afraid of going to hell, or having that tingly feeling inside when you do something good.
Garbage in - garbage out; I try to live my life making people happy. I shall expect to have happiness in return.
The fact that you made a thread about how people give you stuff pretty much illustrates how much of a douche/hypocrite you are. All the stuff you do is the bare minimum and if it's all you do then you're nothing special.
I don't get why everyone's being so negative about it. Of course there's not some entity dolling out nice things to people who are good, it's just that when you're nice to people you tend to make more friends and a a result have more oppourtunities and generally find life to be better, as well as the fact that most people feel good about being a nice person and it's nice to feel like you're rewarded for it.
Even the people saying everyones selfish for doing good things- Who cares? It still doesn't negate the fact they're good people.
ITT:
Secular culture completely demolishes the meaning of Karma.

By the laws of karma he who eats meat has bad karma and will get eaten in afterlife.
I choose to believe in karma as more of a representation of positive coincidences. If something good happens as a result of a good deed or if somebody gets what's coming to them, I call it "karma". I don't think there's anything supernatural about that.

That is a frightening picture.
you should be nice regardless!
Karma got me into a car accident.
Karma is not real, Murphy's Law is!
If you convince yourself that something is going to end up bad, then there's always a chance the opposite will happen!
But don't think about it in that kind of way or it will turn the other way again!
