I'll be honest, Green Day is a good band, mainly their old stuff, but I can't really listen to their new stuff without cringing. And MOST of their younger fans are annoying as hell.
Also I made this thread cause the other ones weren't as informal.
Inb4 massive shitstorm
21st Century Breakdown is classed as a rock opera now?
21st Century Breakdown is classed as a rock opera now?

Yeah, It feels more like a cheeky pop rock album with swear words then a rock opera to me, like I said. I can't really listen to Green Day's new stuff without cringing a little.
I think it's time Green Day admitted the fact that they just can't write good Concept albums/Rock Operas.
American Idiot is a much more enjoyable rock opera than 21st Century Breakdown.
Mind you, 21st Century Breakdown was pure shit
Also, thank god for a decent green day thread
Dookie is their best album.

Yes. American Idiot was alright, but I really can't stand ANY of the singles on that album. Except Jesus Of Surburbia, witch is a good song.

Not a bad band, their new stuff is deplorable though.
Fave Albums would have to be Dookie and Insomniac.
American Idiot was alright. Honestly I hate their new stuff. 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy hours is my favorite.

Dookie is the album that makes everyone look over Green Day's previous underground success Kerplunk. Seriously, Kerplunk is like Dookie's kick ass older brother.
