Are you better off today than you were a year ago? This is the worst time for jingoism.

Gerald Celent is speaking the truth, such great points. This is really interesting.
Politically speaking, dark times are approaching.
what the fuck is this
Spooky
The only thing this has really made me think of doing is purchasing some silver/gold.
I don't see how silver/gold price will fall anytime soon, so you're bound to gain a profit in the end.
Very interesting, glad I watched the whole thing.
I agree that America is going to shit.
Well that video was interesting.
It isnt just America going to shit either, just look at the rest of the world.
Only God knows..
I'm more interested about what will happen in near future, not only this upcoming year
Also, for people going "hurr durr yeh die America", the American Dollar, whether you like it or not, is the reserve currency for most of the world, due to its supposed stability, and the amount of trade of intellectual and material goods from the US to the rest of the world creates a symbiotic relationship. Other countries may not be as badly affected if the video is right, but they won't be immune.
Oh hi it looks like you did some research I suggest you stop before you cause social instability on an internet forum.
In all seriousness though, shit happens might as well let everything fall apart before attempting to fix it especially when every proposed fix just causes more issues.
Well shit. This is a nice video next to the "What we believe" video posted earlier.

The overarching theme I keep coming up with is that the developed world is on the downslope of a multi-generational cycle (one that seems to repeat every few hundred years throughout history) while the developing world is at the opposite point and rising. If you travel much, the quality of living standards and the direction they're taking becomes obvious.
IMO there will be:
Widespread decentralization of governmental powers after multiple leadership failures

Effective enslavement of domestic citizens in many western countries

Competition for resources up to and including regional wars

Reduction in overspecialization among professionals
In certain geographical locations which are stable:
Accelerating improvements in biotech and robotics

Generational advances in sciences

Explosive economic growth
The most pressing danger is that the US & EU policies have massive global effects that could drag the entire world down or cause a fracturing and polarization of powers. That might lead to global war (technically, the war on terrorism can already be viewed as global).
Here's a good way to get a grasp on where the prosperous areas will be:
http://noblenomads.com/2010/12/27/growth/
One measure of the changes to come can be found in language shifts:
http://www.leap2020.eu/Which-languages-will-the-Europeans-speak-in-2025-Heavy-trends-in-the-EU-s-new-linguistic-equilibriums-in-one-generation_a1034.html
There are ways to mitigate the dangers:

Be optimistic - the future is bright if you look at the right places. Just keep your eyes open for more than the latest football scores.
Looking at this video, America is more of a shithole then I imagined.
"They're having a party, and you're paying for it". Well played.
Fuck this, i'm going to Mexico.
So.. is this how America will end?
I like all these indirect America hate posts. Its as if you think this kind of thing is only happening in America/will only affect America.
So Global warming and now this. God dammit. :ohdear:
I'm getting worse. This time last year I could say I was better off, and although I'm still getting what I want, it's been harder getting that thing. I'm getting poorer, too. Almost became homeless a couple of times.
Implying EU is a nation...
Everything here in California is fine so fuck you guys
OMG AMERICA DID 911!
Although i agree with a lot of stuff in the video, it is trying to hard to actually look bad.
I mean the locked car door, of course you want to lock the car do otherwise it's a lot easier to steal it, perhaps evolve a car chase, perhaps theft of certain items inside.
Nations will do worse because:
People are scared of advancements in Technology

People are not getting money they want = More Rioting

Racism may very well see an increase, and raciel segregation may happen in certain communites

Ethics will come into play when new advancements are discovered, and hinder / stop said advancements

Economic downfall because governments are greedy fuckers

Rise of new Super Powers like China and Russia
If only we had some country that was a worker's paradise..

Welcome to Scandinavia, but welcome to 30% taxes to.
After watching the education bit, I feel like dropping out of school. I'm a high school sophomore and my grades are shit. But they're shit because of my deep depression, and fuck I can't help that.

The people waiting in line for hours upon hours for iphones are obviously pretty brainwashed. Pay a lot for nothing and scared for change.

Technology allows people to do wonderful things, like making governments work for you.
International trusts and business corporations set up in countries that are favorable to those entities will allow you to store wealth and conduct business without having your assets taxed to the point of becoming unprofitable.
Banking at a financial institution outside of your country of citizenship means that your finances are much less likely to be frozen, seized or otherwise misappropriated.
Second or multiple citizenships afford you the freedom and flexibility to travel and work without stigma depending on location and passport, as well as an exit should one of your citizenship nations become inwardly hostile (excessive taxation, asset seizure, unrealistic laws, etc...).
Maintaining residence in a country you are not a citizen of reduces the chances of your being targeted by the local government, and more likely to be able to leave should the environment become unfriendly.
Don't let geography limit you! You could become a firefighter in Brazil, an engineer in Australia or a financial analyst in Hong Kong...
Using these techniques, governments are far more apt to treat you as though you were a golden goose rather than domestic cattle. These are the methods that international corporations use to keep costs down and provide products at consistent prices, thus increasing profitability. It's all legal as well.
Yes, this requires some time and money to accomplish. The rewards can be immense and pay back many times over for those willing to make the effort. If you want to be as free as you possibly can in this world, this is the best way to do it.

Those are the instances of raw milk regulation that were mentioned. Again, the milk itself isn't the issue - the problem is with continually increasing government control, destruction of individuals and their liberty.
At what point will you start whining - when a video game you want to play gets banned, or when you need a license to run a blog? When is enough, enough? When do you wake up one morning and feel like you're being smothered by your girlfriend (aka gov't for those who want things to be obvious) and desperately want nothing more to do with her?
There is no such thing as live and let live according to many governments today.

How are you a sophomore at 24yo?
If your grades are shit, it isn't because of depression. The two are symptomatic and depression is probably stemming from a lack of direction.
Find a productive topic that interests you and learn everything you can about it. If you get bored with it, move on to something else. Porn and video games don't count, so put down the controller and the lotion. Try http://ocw.mit.edu or scout out iTunes U for some topics.
Other than that, drop the whining and pick up some personal responsibility. You're the only one who can fix your mess - anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar and probably a politician.

Oh no they're regulating our milk? I hate people like you. If you want a reason, it's because you think that the government should reserve the right to regulate everything you put into YOUR body.
ITT slippery slopes and genuine hilarity, the true face of lolbertarianism.
