Just seven fans showed up at the city's airport to greet Bieber, the Sunday Morning Post reported, calling it an 'embarrassingly low-key reception'. In contrast to the tiny turn-out, footage of his arrival posted on YouTube - where the star made his name - had been viewed nearly 135,000 times by Sunday, four days after he jetted in to the muted reception. The paper said there were 'three times' more bodyguards than female fans at the airport with the 17-year-old pop sensation 'looking grumpy and walking straight past the small group of fans as they yelled out his name'. But some fans defended the heartthrob, saying his gloomy demeanour was due to him falling ill before arriving in the southern Chinese city. 'He didn't acknowledge us but that was probably because he saw more of the photographers,' 15-year-old Ruth Boon told the Post, saying the light fan turnout was likely a result of it being a school day. Bieber's concert on Friday in Hong Kong - one of the last shows in his My World tour - still saw a 13,500-seat stadium almost packed to capacity, the Post said. The pop sensation soared to stardom after videos of his performances were posted on YouTube, with his album My World 2.0 hitting the top of the US charts
http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Lifestyle/Story/STIStory_668883.html
Ha that's dynamite. [editline]15th May 2011[/editline] But really can we stop getting constant updates on him? If I wanted that i'd follow the tool on twitter.
Bahahahaha. :v:
If there were no fans, you could put it down to nobody knowing he was there. 7 implies that people knew he was there, but nobody cared.
What is this blasphemy usually Asians like the Korean Pop singers, not American.
Maybe it's something about capitalist societies that makes them hate the Biebs.
Obviously the Chinese are doing something right.
Maybe we were wrong about the Chinese Government.
This room is full of people who care. There's seven of them
Well asian pop is better than western, so I understand. Also misleading title. I thought it was some old grumpy man who either had last name Bieber or looked like him. I was kinda disappointed and kinda pleased.
Kind of a dick move ignoring them IMO. Fair enough if there's legions of screaming little bitches, but 7 dedicated fans? He should have taken them for a fucking coffee or something.
Kind of a dick move ignoring them IMO. Fair enough if there's legions of screaming little bitches, but 7 dedicated fans? He should have taken them for a fucking coffee or something.
It's not like he actually cares for his fans.
... that's what I'm saying.
" The paper said there were 'three times' more bodyguards than female fans at the airport with the 17-year-old pop sensation 'looking grumpy and walking straight past the small group of fans as they yelled out his name'. " Douche. I don't normally care about JB threads, but, Douche.
The paper said there were 'three times' more bodyguards than female fans at the airport
21 Bodyguards, does he command the fucking Swiss Guard or something?
Justin bieber is a douche
That's 7 more fans than i'd have. Fuck you justin stop being arrogant
Must have been passed his bed time.
It's sad that the fans justified to themselves the fact he is an arsehole
moving to Hong Kong.
YEAH! MY NOT-SO-COUNTRY COUNTRY KNOWS WHAT'S UP.
I mis-understood the thread title.
;29838276']I mis-understood the thread title.
Yeah me too. What the title says "Old grumpy "Bieber" draws a tiny welcome for Hong Kong on paper" As in, he doesn't like hong kong, thus draws them only a tiny welcome.
'looking grumpy and walking straight past the small group of fans as they yelled out his name'.
Wow he's a dick, so just because he doesn't get a huge reception he just ignores the ones that actually went there.
Must have been a trap, China doesn't want to be populated by any Bieber fans, so his arrival was the trap for any of the fans stupid enough to fall for it. The 7 girls were executed 20 minutes later.
