Me again, with another song, something quite different this time!

Hello again, you may or may not recognise me from my earlier threads in this section but anyway, I made a new song!
This time however, it's not another jumpy house tune or snazzy electro track. No I wanted to make something more soothing and relaxing. I really hope I accomplished that goal! It's actually the first song that I enjoy listening to myself after finishing it. Usually I finish a song, dump it on YouTube and Soundcloud and never listen to it again. I don't seem to have that with this song, I'm quite happy with how it turned out, honestly, and the mastering isn't total shit either this time, so I'm a happy man.

Give it a listen and please let me know if you liked it! I'd like it even more if you told me you didn't, but if you do, please explain why, I want to learn!
And for the fellow producers, I made this in Ableton, the rhodes instrument is a free VSTi called Mr. Ray 73, it sounds really neat for a free VST, check it out!
PS: If you want to stay tuned, keep an eye on my Soundcloud channel (www.soundcloud.com/houcemate), it's where I post WIPs and finished songs as well before they hit YouTube!
Cheers guys!
Would make great music for a racing game's main menu. Made me think of Test Drive Unlimited. The beat is a little harsh sounding though.
Was a huge fan of your first song, glad to see you're keeping at it as I enjoyed this one as much as the previous one.
Keep up the good work!

Not joking but a friend of mine said the exact same thing! "Dude this is like music from The Sims or something!" And yeah I've been thinking the beat might be a bit too harsh for its genre (don't ask me what genre this is though) but I loved the sound of it and I felt I just had to use it. Thanks for pointing that out though!

For some reason I can see this in Forza... Maybe.
But it'd go good in Test Drive as well.
I really like this song, it's different yet awesome.
trackmania music
Its something you could listen to while laying in an open grass field, just looking up in the clouds, and relaxing. I like it a lot, I'd love to hear more of this!
When i listen to this song, i imagen myself driving a convertible cruising the coastline in a warm sunny cloudless day.
I think this track will be good to listen to when you have a loong drive ahead of you.
dat camera angle
pretty chill
It's great, but if you made the bass hits a bit less harsh sounding it might sound better.
me gusta!
The drums are a little overpowering at some points, other than that it was really good.
you should post this on the music section (creationism corner) if you havent already. It's pretty cool, I usually enjoy this type of music. And yeah it's still electronica
I guess appart from the harsh kick and snare, you should add something more to the music, like more instruments and everything. You could also make the music longer, because i was hoping for something new and oh the song ended
Brilliant tune mate, absolutely chilled! I like that it's not all soft and smooth either, the contrast of sounds adds a depth that wouldn't be there otherwise.
Hey Larry, if you haven't noticed, I would like to point out that we also have a section for musicians:

You can get some great feedback there. Sadly its quite unpopulated, though v:smile:v
A song i could add to my "chill out" music list. It's great so hopefully you will keep making some more.

Yes I'm well aware of that haha, posted a few things there too, but I posted it here first to get some more feedback since, like you said, its' pretty much a ghost section which is sad thing, really.
Really nice, although like the others said the beat is a bit harsh.

It's really strange, I listened to it on our stereo system at home and it sounded completely different and like you said, the beat was too harsh indeed, I'll try to do a better job at mixing in the future.
