We are having logo design in design class and I have decided to make a logo for this company called "Kaffe Compagniet" (The Coffee Company).
They specialize on coffee machines for offices etc, as well as providing coffee and services. A huge selling-point is that the coffee is pure coffee (hence the slogan) and it's not as industrialized, but kinda local and passionate with great service.
This is what I've got so far, a lot of ideas and I can't decide what to go further with.

Tell me what you think, please.

I've narrowed down the ideas a bit

but there's still some polish to be done, and I can't really decide which logo to continue on. [/QUOTE]
Definitely like the one with the bean for the O in compagniet.
Don't like any of the other ones.
Like The one with the steam coming off the cup, it looks like the X-games are going on above your cup the way the steam vapors are placed. The other one with the slash through the middle: I am assuming that is the foam maybe? If it were a company that was simple, I would assume they are not going for fancy schmancy coffee types, which that sort depicts. I think it would look good with black coffee and a flare (not a flare as in photoshop flare, that would be bloody stupid) or something to add that liquid-reflection value.
Other than that, good work. Very nice :)
I like the upper right one for its simplicity; it should well with the text (and slogan) if it were in another, rounder font.
And bufamalo, I think the "foam" you are talking about is a coffee bean.
Nice logo idea, but has plenty of flaws. Here are some of the most obvious mistakes I instantly saw:

I'll start from top-left.
When designing a logo, keep everything as simple as you possibly can, those steam things don't look too good because their thickness keeps varying too much, I also highlighted the unneccessarily complex part.
Top right: Why is the center of the "bean" at an angle? Why isn't it horizontal?
All of them: Look at the base of the side-view coffee cups. Why is the bottom angled? Why isn't the top symmetrical? If you want them curved, sure, curve them but keep it symmetrical.
Same with the top-down view of the cup, logos need to be simple. Unneccessary asymmetry creates a busy feeling if the logo is large.
As I said before, it's a really nice idea (I like the cup-bean one best), but keep working on it.
Jaanus just pointed out some of the problems I was going to highlight.
It isn't really obvious to me that the top-right logo is supposed to be a large coffee bean in a cup. I had to look at the logo for awhile before I understood it, and I only understood it because you had another logo with the O in Compagniet replaced with the same bean design.
Were this a real logo, the significance of the bean in the cup would not have been apparent to me within the time it would take me to look at the store's logo and then lose interest in it.
The KAFFE COMPAGNIET [cup with vapor rising off it] design looks most attractive to me.
Should't have an english slogan, since this is "pure" coffee from the countryside.

yeah, but I'm just designing the logo. The slogan is the company's responsibility
