Don't forget, Libraries, Public Roads.. that's all socialism too, to be honest
Don't forget, Libraries, Public Roads.. that's all socialism too, to be honest
Welfare, not socialism. In honesty the video is welfare as well, not socialism. People tend to attribute distribution of the wealth or public welfare to socialism. Socialism requires public or state ownership of the means of production. Welfare and distribution of the wealth, while facets of many forms of socialism, do not equal socialism. You can have socialism without centralized/state welfare or wealth distribution. You can't have socialism without public/worker/state control of industry. What this video is demonstrating is progressivism. Not socialism.
I suddenly want apple pie.
To a douche bag republican it's all the same: communism.
you're so short sighted it's ridiculous a democrat can be just as dumb as a republican and vice versa no party seems to give a fuck at all about what the people actually think anymore, and you shouldn't ever classify a political group as "douche bags" because in reality both parties have just as many idiotic people.
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE ON $500,000 A YEAR??
I might just read that book this is from. I like Bill Maher.

There are quite a number of them out there that claim he is a communist with no facts to back themselves up. This indicates that the joke was about a singular republican who was also a douche bag, not that they all are.
I wouldn't of guessed FP would like Bill Maher, he's pretty pro Israel with a show that has him clap to everything he says.

Sure, but they sure as fuck aren't equal.
I wouldn't of guessed FP would like Bill Maher, he's pretty pro Israel with a show that has him clap to everything he says.
I like him a lot but what I don't like is that he reuses material on everything. That quote from the book was also on his show was also in his standup was also anywhere else.

Taking more from the rich and giving more to the poor for example. It doesn't matter you are going to give it another name because it doesn't involve state ownership of industry. It's still the same ideology.
I wouldn't of guessed FP would like Bill Maher, he's pretty pro Israel with a show that has him clap to everything he says.
They boo him on somethings. I find Maher to be pretty funny and watch Real Time occasionally even though I don't always agree with him. But if you're paying to go to a show chances are you like the guy, and crowd mentality probably plays a big role. And I wouldn't call him pro Israel so much as anti Iran.
I like him a lot but what I don't like is that he reuses material on everything. That quote from the book was also on his show was also in his standup was also anywhere else.
Well this is a book that is basically a collection of all the New Rules he's made through the years. So it makes sense that it's in here. Also I picked up a copy, it's pretty good but the size is a bit deceiving as it has 3 rules per page and they're generally short (though it has his big end of show rules too)
I like him a lot but what I don't like is that he reuses material on everything. kinda annoying.
Do you know how bad our politics are? He has a point that you if you don't thank Jesus and you won't get elected. I think his biggest thing with your political system is the fact that your election season doesn't begin as soon as one ends and lasts 4 years.
Little bump here as this is the only Bill Maher related thread but if you guys like Bernie Sanders (the independent congressman who is trying to pass an amendment that would eliminate Citizens United) he will be on Bill Maher tonight.
