So lately I've been running out on Horror movies to watch and I need some more. So I wanna hear your favorites! I prefer the ghost/demon/exorcism kinda shit. My top three are: The Exorcist(old but gold) Sinister The Devil Inside I might not consider them SCARY.. but I love the story about them. I can't wait to see the Conjuring
Cabin in the woods, although it doesn't really count.
The Shining Jacob's Ladder The Thing The Descent Nightmare on Elm Street (original) The Exorcist The Orphanage R-Point GP506 The Fly In the Mouth of Madness Halloween Rosemary's Baby Evil Dead 2 Slither Event Horizon I'm sure there's more
Paranormal activity 1 Insidious The Inkeepers
Just finished 28 Days Later.. reallllly good. The mutant/zombies (always disputed which) remind me of DayZ zombies how twitchy they all are.
Cabin in the woods, although it doesn't really count.
I absolutely loved Cabin in the Woods.
Paranormal activity 1
I personally didn't like it..
The Thing The Fly The Evil Dead (original and remake [sp]or is it?[/sp]) Event Horizon 28 Days Later Dawn of the Dead (original and remake)
I wouldn't neccesarily say it's horror but Pan's Labyrinth
I wouldn't neccesarily say it's horror but Pan's Labyrinth
I was thinking of saying that but left it out because the OP didnt seem to be looking for that type of movie. It's more of a classic fairy tale that had (light and dark) fantasy combined with gritty reality. Still, it's definitely worth a watch.
drag me to hell is pretty awesome
What genre what you put it under?
Dark fantasy I suppose
Dark fantasy I suppose
Mkay I'll look it up.
Suspiria is imo the best horror movie ever, or one of. It's totally classic and really tense and terrifying. It's colourful and beautiful and weird. if you're a fan of horror and haven't seen any Dario Argento I can't not recommend him. His work in the 70's is unmatched.

A ballet dancer who goes to a German ballet school and as students begin to disappear she discovers weird things about the school's history and the people who own it. Don't wanna spoil much cos the plot is one of its strong points, as well as being visually amazing and having really great scary scenes especially in the last parts of the film. It's so good. [editline]12th July 2013[/editline] Probably also one of the best, certainly one of the most memorable soundtracks to a film I've seen
I'll look into it.. thanks bro.
Cabin Fever is one of my favorites. Slightly underrated imo, it's quite enjoyable and not to be taken too seriously (like evil dead)
Hellraiser Wishmaster 1-3 Dog Soldiers Outpost
So tonight will consist of Drag Me to Hell and Suspiria... Fun.
Alien and The Thing are pretty much tied
Has no one ever seen Prince of Darkness (1986)??? the 80's were fucking brutal, imagine the 80's with current gen tech i would shit my panties.
Rec is one of my faves
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Lucio Fulci's 'Gates of Hell' trilogy is good if you can stand some trashiness and horrendous dubbing.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Lucio Fulci's 'Gates of Hell' trilogy is good if you can stand some trashiness and horrendous dubbing.
Oh god I saw The Beyond earlier this year as the closing (fifth) film of an All night horror fest at one of my local theatres, so it was like 7am when it started. It was the most bizarre thing. I don't remember plot much but I remember moments of the film and man it's weird and so fuckin gory. I did enjoy it though.. I think. It was cool. Fulci is kinda the poor man's Argento though. I'd recommend Zombi 2 as well if you're looking for a good gory horror, it's not really scary but the effects are really cool and it's so violent.

Not to mention it had the Zombie vs. Tiger Shark scene.
Let The Right One In Sleepy Hollow 28 Days Later Audition Braindead Event Horizon Cube
The Shining Jacob's Ladder The Thing The Descent Nightmare on Elm Street (original) The Exorcist The Orphanage R-Point GP506 The Fly In the Mouth of Madness Halloween Rosemary's Baby Evil Dead 2 Slither Event Horizon I'm sure there's more
in the mouth of madness is the best
Some of my favorites, not necessarily what I think are the 'best': TV- Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Dark Night of the Scarecrow, Trilogy of Terror, Satan's Triangle. Old school- Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nightmare on Elm Street, Phantasm Newish- [REC], Open Water, Triangle
The Thing.
