Really digging the aesthetics
holy fucking shit i didn't expect the boss to [sp]shoot out fucking bullet hell patterns[/sp]
looks way better than scalebound [editline]17th June 2016[/editline] This is still being made by platinum right?
Holy shit. Give me this NOW
i might just buy a ps4 for this they're getting really affordable too
I've never even played this series before but that looked cool as fuck.
I'm a twat for getting an Xbox One, Playstation always has such better exclusives and would serve me a lot better in terms of entertainment.
looks way better than scalebound [editline]17th June 2016[/editline] This is still being made by platinum right?
Platinum almost always hits the nail on the head gameplay wise, in the case of Scalebound It could be very unfinished gameplay or it could be that they don't want to make it to begin with. Hideki Kamiya looks like he did not want to be on stage when they showed it off so who knows its a oddity.

The quick-dodges and mobility easily put everything but the ninja run in Rising to shame, that's for sure.
The head part of the boss reminds me a lot of the first boss (Bosses?) of Nier... except robotic
Looks like a very beautiful game. I also love how the boss battle is choreographed to fit the music perfectly
holy fucking shit i didn't expect the boss to [sp]shoot out fucking bullet hell patterns[/sp]
Didn't the reveal trailer from last year also show off the bullet hell stuff?
That's NieR for you [editline]17th June 2016[/editline] I can't believe how good this looks, brings a tear to my eye
The Platinum touch is in full effect here. Take everything from the NieR combat that sucked ass and make it actually fluid, slap in the Platinum mixing stuff for more impactful music and just give everything a flair of smoking sick style.
Looks like a very beautiful game. I also love how the boss battle is choreographed to fit the music perfectly
Reminds me of Dark Souls 3 when you fight the Dancer of the Boreal Valley, honestly. The music just melds perfectly with the action going on.

It looks like Platinum's B team is doing better than the A team then. Looked up what little credits Automata has already and it has some of the guys behind Rising. So it seems pretty promising.
They showed off the bullet-hell stuff really well. I wonder if the camera moving to a top-down view like that was player controlled or automatic, because if it's automatic it's absolutely perfect.
Platinum Games Devil May Cry spinoff when?
Bayonetta is already that.
Bayonetta is already that.
I was thinking more along the lines of DmC but yeah, I guess it is.
I was thinking more along the lines of DmC but yeah, I guess it is.
Scalebound is your bet but it honestly just looks horrible
what are the chances this will come to pc?
It looks like Platinum's B team is doing better than the A team then. Looked up what little credits Automata has already and it has some of the guys behind Rising.
Bayonetta is already that.
Yeah pretty much. Kamiya wasn't allowed to actually make DMC any more, but took a lot of inspiration from DMC 4 when Platinum started Bayonetta. Even when he's not actually working on a game, there's influences from him all over it.
NieR is a fucking weird ass game.
NieR is a fucking weird ass game.
what are you talking about, it's the perfect [sp]genocidal[/sp] fantasy RPG dad simulator
NieR is a fucking weird ass game.
I don't even know if this is the right NieR. Is it a prequel? Sequel? The plot blurb isn't clear, but it doesn't sound like the ole philosophical zombie that was the original.
NieR is a fucking weird ass game.
Dude, Drakengard and Neir were fucking weird! And that's alright in my book. And apparently changing studios hasn't affect it at all. Still, I imagined that PlatinumGames was a small studio. Think about it; they were juggling this, plus Scalebound, plus Star Fox Zero, and Transformers: Devastation, and TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan along with possible Kill la Kill and a Berserk game! The Platinum mining hasn't stopped!
