Nelson Mandela's death prompted Ukip members to pour scorn on a man who "did nothing" for Britain, call for a "reappraisal" of the apartheid regime and suggest that some are "intended by nature" to be slaves.
Writing on Ukip's members-only forum days after Mandela's death, West London member David William Griffiths quoted from the Greek philosopher Aristotle to argue that some are "intended by nature" to be slaves and a mere "possession" of another man.
Griffiths went on to suggest, by quoting William Blake, that the same laws for "the lion and Ox" is "oppression". The Ukip activist also chose to title his forum post "apartheid - time for a reappraisal?".
Asked by another member why he chose to make his point in asking others to "reappraise apartheid" just through quotations, Griffiths responds with another quotation, from the Greek philosopher Diogenes Laertius, to say he wanted to avoid the "ridicule of the common people".
Simon Cressy, from the HOPE not Hate campaign, told the Huffington Post UK: "There are certain members of Ukip who'd like to turn back the clock and go back to the days of the 1950s and 1960s."
Griffiths' controversial comments come as others mocked the "overkill" of news coverage following Mandela's death.
Obviously society was the same as it was 2400 years ago so his quotes are pretty solid.

UKIP is playing Russian roulette with itself, each pull of trigger could be the final nail in their political coffin.
I wish it was they are so terrible.

I still don't see them as a 'racist party', but I like your analogy.
This was more noticeable when they suddenly recruited a lot of people and had an increase in councillor seats, but they are really just a disorganised mess. They gained support and found people with the same ideal, PLUS other far right bullshit that they missed as they didn't have time to screen them.
Aristotle's quote was more along the lines of:
from the hour of their birth, some are marked out for subjection, others for rule.
Breaking news: someone made racist shitposts on an internet forum

Recent quotes make me think that they're pretty racist.
my dumb rating is for the article and for sobotnik for posting it. what a ridiculous title
Breaking news: someone made racist shitposts on an internet forum
Considering the almost clockwork regularity of UKIP members, councillors and MP candidates saying shit like this, one has to start wondering whether it's really just a few bad apples, or whether the party's central goals attract these whackjobs in.
Griffiths went on to suggest, by quoting William Blake, that the same laws for "the lion and Ox" is "oppression".
So he is in effect saying that white and black people are of a different species, of course.

UKIP only function because of members like this, they hold the local branches together.

The thing is that in all the parties you'll probably find the crazy extremists, infact Labour has or atleast used to have former BNP councillers working for them. Pointing out a couple examples in Ukip doesn't change the fact that the party it self isn't racist, as you said doesn't the fact that they've disciplined these people show that they aren't a racist party.
Saying that Ukip thinks that all our problems come from "dirty foreigners" is a massive exaggeration, cracking down on unskilled immigration is only a small part of Ukip policy, they want a points system so that foreigners with skills can stay and work and their complaints stem from their EU grievances who have little to do with "dirty foreigners".
People like Godfrey Bloom are allowed into the party to begin with because when they go ahead and say something incredibly stupid it makes UKIP appeal to those who have racist, xenophobic or homophobic opinions and it also makes them appeal to the sod politics lot who wouldn't have voted for anybody. Then, when UKIP suspend said member it makes them appeal to those who would have voted because they appear to be becoming more grown up and mainstream.
It's very smart. Also, I would say that your average racist/xenophobe/homophobe is far more likely to become an activist wanting to spend some spare time distributing leaflets and whatnot to help the party than a normal voter is. That's why I say that the core membership are racist, not because most UKIP members or voters are racist because they're not, but because most of the people holding together local branches are. I'm also not for a second saying the party leadership is racist, I don't think Nigel Farage is a racist nor is Tim Aker, Paul Nuttall or Steve Crowther but they're playing a smart game here by appealing to these people who are holding their local branches together.
UKIP Person 1: "What can we do to draw more attention to ourselves?"
UKIP Person 2: "Errmm, how about be assholes about things? That'll get them talking!"
I think that this is a pretty good place to remind people that apart from being the father of modern logic, aristotle was almost exclusively wrong about everything he ever said.

People pretty much followed him blindly until the Catholic church and some Medieval thinkers started arguing against him in the 13th century. Ironically the Catholic Church introduced an edict which banned some core parts of Aristotelian thought, making it heresy to deny the possibility Adam was not the first man, and therefore even heresy to deny the possibility of evolution.

Aristoteles was a clever guy by back then standard, however, quite a few highschoolers of today would take him to school in pretty much every way (and not even just knowledge wise).
