Dialogue sounds like it should be on the radio......
Oh my, it looks horrible
no, not because it's halo
It's just bad. Characters do only one action per time - move arms, or mouth only.
Backgrounds are highly detailed, but not characters
shading is horrible
marines or whoever they are are too simple
no scratches, dirt, it is full color.
also animations based on rotating/moving ONE pic of character
terrible bro
It's just not his day. Oh wait, no, it is his day. Three cheers for his day.
Umm... Exciting? Nah. Just not feeling it. Guess it's not my day.
The visual style better fits Halo as opposed to all the other animated shorts that are out right now, at least in terms of being a cartoon. By that I mean it's the least anime-looking of the bunch, and it's of a higher quality as well. Still, you have the all-too-common anime logic like the sudden anti-gravity backflip. Also, neither the Covenant nor the Marines seem to bleed and a few of the weapons don't work like they do in the games, but that's just me being a stickler I guess.
The last anime short wasn't as bad as the Babysitter, and this one, at least from what I can infer from this short clip, is continuing the trend of being slightly better than it's predecessor. At least it's looking to be a lot more level-headed than the Star Wars-esque spacebike episode. I still think that Bungie giving the project out to several different animation companies was a good idea. It maximizes the chance that at least one out of seven will be good or at least halfway decent.
The Halo lore has been very 'realistic' in a sense. Despite all it's deviations it has managed keep it's position as 'hard' sci-fi and that's one of the reasons why people like it. Well, at least one of the reasons us Westerners like it. Not sure how such a gritty story would go down in the 'kawaii'-obsessed culture of the Japanese. These companies seem to have toned down these aspects and emphasized others to fit it to their sensibilities, and that doesn't really mesh with what Halo is. One example would be the toning down of blood and gore. I mean, this is war. Not only that, this is a war against a genocidal coalition of technologically superior alien races who's religion they so utterly and zealously adhere to mandates our complete and utter extermination. Is it just me, or are they glossing over many important aspects?

Yes
Dear god, it looks like an amateur flash animation.

*AHEM* What I wanted to say was: Why is no one saying this about American animation?
I wish I never remembered this existed...
Who thought Halo and Anime was a good idea?

I truly don't know. The game is based solely on western culture, the fact that they'd mix it with the opposite culture perplexes me.

You just described every single anime ever made.
I had a retarded friend come over and he was watching "The Babysitter". It's hilarious how bad it is.
It wasn't that guy's day
then it was
Microsoft what were you thinking?
