A welcome (albeit long time coming) change to Pokemon, turn based battles have been done for quite some time and the last new addition to combat that I didn't think was gimmicky was double battles back in 3rd gen.
Pokemon that plays like a Tekken game? I think that's what I got out of it. Seems interesting.
wow, a wii u port (that I already own) that comes with the arcade-exclusive content and ONE new character on top of that
really helping me feel like I made a good purchase here nintendo, thanks

I own a Wii U too, but I don't own Pokken.
They are really helping me to feel like a I made good purchase here, thanks Nintendo.
Seeing the old official art style like in the 2nd video's thumbnail is always nostalgic.

What change, what are you talking about.
That was a fighting game spin off, not the main series of games, what did you seriously think they changed entire battle mechanics that have been with the series since the start? :s:

You should hardly be salty over dubious rumors from other people, they said themselves they have no plans on making a pokemon game on the switch as of yet.
You know when you get that disappointment that you have no right to feel, because nothing was promised and no bar was set to begin with? :dog:
In reality I'm indifferent.
Pokemon Direct has standards, man. You don't summon hundreds of thousands of fans for some nonsense announcement.
Pokemon Ultra-SuMo is worthy, albeit another title in place of it is welcomed.
my god these new legendary forms are ugly

People have already spotted new assists and a new stage (with most likely another great Tekken-inspired track) that weren't announced.
And with this port, maybe they'll be more enthusiast in supporting it. The reason we never got any of the DLC from arcade on Wii U is because they were most likely working on the DX already. Not to mention, Wii U is a boat they didn't want to stay on very long.
So who knows. Maybe we'll see the roster grow from this version onward.
