A pensioner who was hit on the head by a pineapple while shopping is suing the supermarket.
Mary Raimo, 76, was knocked to the floor by the fruit, which tumbled from an upper shelf.
It was dislodged by another customer and struck Mrs Raimo on the back of the head.
She was later diagnosed with concussion and said she has suffered neck pain since the incident in Tesco in July last year.
Mrs Raimo told the Mirror: "I was in the reduced section for the fruit, looking at some on the second shelf. Another lady was looking at the pineapples on the top shelf.
"The next thing I knew - clunk - I got hit on the back of the head. I dropped my basket and staggered to the floor."
The pensioner claims the fruit was stacked badly at the Tesco store in the Lochee area of Dundee, which has since closed.
Her lawyer Alasdair Wannan said: "She is hoping for compensation on the basis that Tesco negligently stacked the pineapples.
"She says she is still getting headaches and neck pains and if that is the case we would be looking for several thousand pounds' compensation."
A Tesco spokeswoman said: "Customer safety is very important to us and we are looking into what happened. Our best wishes are with Mary Raimo for a speedy recovery. As this matter is in the hands of our insurance team, we're unable to comment further."
Seriously? You can sue for a ill placed pineapple now?
-disregard that she is old-
I'll sue my grocery store for stubbing my toe on a table.
Bawww
Also, I'm sure the millions of dollars she'll rake in will make the pain go away.
Yeah I'll sue the grocery store because someone else dislodged and knocked a pinapple on me

You can sue for anything, that's why we have civil court. Anything perceived as an injustice that is not necessarily criminal can be fought in a civil court.

But it still stupefies me that she can sue tesco for another customer's actions which ended in a accident that tesco couldn't fully prevent.

Or perhaps the boy attends an average American public school, where the "special" children are a burden on everybody's education rather than just their own?

Or prehaps the boy isn't a boy, and prehaps the boy goes to an English Secondary School with a bunch of fuck wits that annoy the boy, and prehaps the boy may be very good at history and ICT.
Gentlemen, can we please discuss the matter at hand?

It's a fucking old person that got hit on the head by a Pineapple.
I'm frankly angry by Tesco's poor judgement of Fruit placement their own establishment.
How dare they do this to a person that survived the Cold war.
Also, I'm sure the millions of dollars she'll rake in will make the pain go away.
Here? This aint America. The British judge will just laugh at her for being a twat of some sort.
