It's so amazing. And to think that when the game was first announced I slightly doubted Rockstar would get the settings right, since they always worked on urban areas.
I absolutely adore this game, I bought it yesterday, played it for a good while. Mostly not even doing the quests, just wandering around seeing what the game has to offer. When people said it was exactly like GTA IV, my god they were wrong. The style and everything is just way different, the minimap reminds me of GTA, that and the way you receive missions. But that's where the similarities end.
Oh wow, that's pretty awesome. I didn't think the engine was capable of that much.

Think about how 35 years ago it was pong.
also I love the skybox. :unsmith:
Too bad I hate playing it after I finished the game. [sp]Fuck you, Jack. Fuck you.[/sp]

It's a great game, beautifully made to, as long as you didn't get the xbox version, that's the one that seems to be full of bugs. Too bad the game got boring quickly after i beat it...
Great for a big television
The only thing that bothered me in that was the clouds. It's just a spinning ring around the horizon with a flat plane of wispy ones above and a repeating pattern of shadows moving across the ground.
The water sucks.
Rockstar has always been good at the cinematic shit.

Rockstar North are the ones usually doing the urban areas in GTA.
I hate when people say it's "Grand Theft Horse" It's totally different than GTA.
I think the formula by which the game works is the same Rockstar used for the GTA games, but I have to agree that Red Dead Redemption feels nothing like GTA.
The Day/Night change doesn't look right, the clouds disappear.
Compare it to a time lapse of GTAIV: Heres one: Or another:
Wow the clouds and the cloud shadows are pure sex
Red dead redemption is the most beautifal game I have ever played.
The Day/Night change doesn't look right, the clouds disappear.
No they don't, because it became darker the clouds are much harder to see but they're still there.
That water looks so great.
Booty full
The water sucks.
It looked pretty good to me.
