You're either using a fisheye lens or it's funky perspective. Looks like a 3d model. clean those lines up. Use a ruler tool or something. EDIT: Oh, come on. What the fuck is it there to read? "DRATH"? Is it "LONE" i misred?
No, I will not.
Have fun then.
No, I will not.
learn to take constructive crit.
lol there is nothing wrong, And what if he doesn't want to change hes picture? you cant tell him to change it!
This is not how things work 'round here boyo :clint: a '05'ver shoud realise what stuff is worth a thread and what is not. Oh and a word of advice, no matter how deep you think it is it's either: a) too deep for anyone to bother b) not very.
lol there is nothing wrong, And what if he doesn't want to change hes picture? you cant tell him to change it!
r u dumb or something? There are plenty of things wrong with it and if he wants to be good then he should take advice.
It wasn't meant to be a good piece of art, I just wanted to put out an idea I had. Well I guess that you guys are really nice and all, because on a different forum I had these three first posts: Sebaa: Wait, what's that? 80884: i think its one of those road signs.. Sebaa: Well, but are we supposed to do? Want us to C&C or what? :v
Well, if it wasn't meant to be a good piece of art, you can save yourself a lot of pain if you post it in the general art thread.
Well, if it wasn't meant to be a good piece of art, you can save yourself a lot of pain if you post it in the general art thread.
It's supposed to be a thought more than art
Ugh, sorry?
It's supposed to be a thought more than art
As much as art is a representation of one's inner thoughts and feelings, one has to understand that their creation is a representation of the aforementioned qualities. With that in mind, no one artist can be so prideful as to say their art is already well made and shouldn't be changed because it's more of a 'thought' than it is 'art' (as much as that statement is extremely paradoxical). Every person, whether they consider themselves artists or not, can improve in all areas always Here on FP, I've seen that we grew from more of a 'show and tell' corner, all the way to a 'personal creative betterment corner' with everyone giving their two cents every corner you turn, people might think that's a bad thing, but we, as creators, have to learn to accept the thoughts of others because 99% of the time, it's the people that criticize your art work that will come to appreciate it when you do submit to changing it (for the better). ____ And with that note, rework your perspective, if you saw this sign from the side it would look like a parenthetical mark with three spokes on the top. And despite how I'm almost certain you were going for an 'unclean' feel, there's a fine line between 'unclean clean' and 'plain unclean'. One of those is your work, one of those is what your work could be. [editline]yomama[/editline] I forgot to mention, I really like the idea, if you improved on it a bit more I feel as if you could represent that idea better (lol redundant statement ftl)
Moderate idea, poor execution, childish behaviour.
That's why Lordie here is one of my favorite artists, he tells you constructive info without mercy.
and I mercifully give constructive info. The concept is interesting, though admittedly way overdone in some form or another. The choice of line color helps to make the otherwise boring structure pop out and feel more at-home in the large, unoccupied space. I love the minimalism, in that it fits in with nothing. You have to go somewhere, because if you don't go, you'll be left in this empty, meaningless void. The perspective is also funky... Street signs are twice as tall as I am (where I live, at least), and I feel head-level with the signs. The angle of the base amplifies this effect. the sketchiness of the lines is made acceptable in that they feel almost purposefully rough- you know where you could go, but it adds an unsureness to whether it's absolute fact. ...the green (moss?) on the death sign is misleading, though. Greens in such concept usually represent life, I find. one more thing- an extra concept could be made with the distance to love- make it twice that of hell, and you have the fact that sometimes you have to go to hell and back to find it. <3

I was responding to 3v3ryb0dy, not you on the sarcasm remark. [edited post to have quote] I've evolved a sense of how to work out sarcasm online thanks to the years I've spent on this forum, though. :v:
i think the messy lines kinda gives it an extra something
Give it a dark abnormal shadow.. and some scenery to fit it.
