• Why do I keep waking up with some high-ass blood pressure?

Seriously. I got pretty drunk and pretty stoned last night, and went to sleep at about 3:30. I woke up this morning hangover-free (sweet), but my heart was beating crazy fast, and I could feel that heartbeat tremor through my body from my neck to my stomach. It felt like the muscles along the way were twitching... it lasted for about 15 minutes, then died down, but it kinda freaked me out.
And what makes you say you have high blood pressure? Did you actually check it, or are you just assuming?
That's what drugs do to you.

First, do you have a way to check your blood pressure? Secondly, do you take any other medications or any medications for hypothyroidism (cause you may have that)?
And what makes you say you have high blood pressure? Did you actually check it, or are you just assuming?
I felt my pulse. I've had some medical training, and I can tell you: the pressure was a bit high. High enough to make me seriously worry.

Only exception was that I also had an irregular heartbeat along with it. And I don't take any medicine, I don't do drugs, I don't drink, I don't smoke... etc. Nothing really.
Ok, at this point, you need to stop doing drugs because high blood pressure is NOT good. This could be a lot of things, so you'll need to google some shit and possible visit the doctor, but most importantly, don't drink OR smoke before you figure put what the hell is going on.
There's your answer
Hopefully that's all it is, but I want to double-check with the facepunch community.
Rather than a doctor.... hope you die then.
Charlie: I've had some training, and take no meds. NO ONE: I don't drink or smoke very often. Usually it's about once a moth-month and a half. but there was no pain or tightness in my chest. I have a feeling it was nothing serious. Probably some muscular issues...

Have you been coughing recently? If so, describe the cough.. I take a guess in saying extremely dry which probably is due to the weed intake. Do me a favor. Lie down on the floor or bed, force pressure on your chest and start breathing in and out. If it hurts you badly, you need to go to the doctor. If it kinda hurts, then noting but muscular pain. If it doesn't hurt, get the fuck up outta the floor.
Ha. I'm a full time student with a full time job as well. "Overworked" is an understatement, but I've never "twitch woken" before... that I remember anyway. I've had a little cough today from allergies, but that's common around this time. I got the fuck outta the floor.
Either get drunk or get stoned. Don't mix it
Either get drunk or get stoned. Don't mix it
no. (edit) I actually agree. it's just... if weed and liquor happens to present itself, then who am I to turn it down?

I heard some horrible stories.
Either get drunk or get stoned. Don't mix it
getting stoned and then getting drunk is what it's about.
Then your fine. I do recommended you to go to a Doctor if it continues. I heard some horrible stories.
fix'd. And what kind of stories?
fix'd. And what kind of stories?
It's long so let me sum it up: Mom's next door neighbor was a heavy smoker. She would cough constantly. She went to the GP/Doctor they told her its because of her smoking. She was a little mentally disabled. She was in the army for 5 years she was dropped because of her disability since she damaged her brain (another story). It was 3 months ago she knocked on my moms door. Asked her if she wanted to come over for some tea? I was upstairs playing Xbox when this all happened. So yeah she made my mom tea. Her husband was a douchebag who never loved her. She made my mom tea, they chatted, done girl stuff. Whatever. It was getting to 11am. Mom went home. Before she left my mom said; Diana, "please you should go to the Doctor you really need to tell them the full story and get yourself checked out and stop smoking. Its going to affect you. (rough outline not the full words). So then she said she will do it next thing in the morning. Her husband was like: "No no, shes fine. Leave her. She smokes alot stupid bitch thats why she deserves the cough (hes from Pakistan, bad English accent)" Everything was well. We wake up 5am ambulance outside my house. We received the news on site that she passed away from a heart attack in bed. Husband didn't care after 4 weeks. Kept telling himself he is going to hell (being a Muslim its a huge sin committed). He also didn't tell her he had another wife in Pakistan. This all taking place in Ireland that is where they met/lived/etc. The whole point of this was. NEVER let small things that include your health slip away, be careful, get checked and have that relief of knowing your safe. Michael Jackson? Eddie Guerrero? DJ Am? Similar cases in some way. Yeah so anyway, its done and over. We didin't know her that well. It goes on a little longer (more detail and aftermath) but meh.
good point. thanks for the advice.
good point. thanks for the advice.
No problem, glad I can help.
I felt my pulse. I've had some medical training, and I can tell you: the pressure was a bit high. High enough to make me seriously worry.
Taking pulse =/= Finding blood pressure. When you take your pulse you're finding how many times your heart is beating.
Don't you mean high heart rate? I get it randomly, nothing to worry about...
I don't take any medicine, I don't do drugs, I don't drink, I don't smoke... etc. Nothing really.
so ur a los3r
Go to a doctor
