The domicopter: why drones should be banned, the pizza delivery would be awesome

I'm sorry if there isn't any crash footage, but a world with burritos, tacos, and pizza being delivered via UAVs is a dream come true.
shoot one down with a potato launcher and acquire free pizza
It would be neat if a drone-bases courier system came into being.
Not saying that it should happen, there are plenty of drawbacks, but I can't help but imagine cool and important things like ferrying blood samples off to a lab for quick analysis before someone gets to a hospital happening.
Top comment pretty much has it right
what you dont see is that the drone returned 10secs later and flattened his house with a missile due to 'not tipping'
Awful attempt at viral marketing.
It's just a regular rc octocopter that needs line of sight human control. I would be more impressed if it was FPV or automated.
They may as well have got a regular RC helicopter and duct taped a pizza to it.
I'd take the copter with me
Also shots from on the chopper and no camera when looking at chopper
lets do this with the cartels and dealers!
It should drop the pizza down chimneys.
You could quite easily have one of those things fly high enough to avoid obstacles, and then after getting to target location, have a human operator take it in.
If you had a fleet of like 3 drones in a small but scattered town, one person could easily handle the deliveries.
Only problems would be connectivity, safety, and probably legislation.
I can really imagine sitting on my back porch with an air rifle and plinking these things out of the air and then yelling like a tuscan raider

It actually has a GPS system. Looks like a DJI Wookong.

And you're able to set it up so it will fly to its destination and land by itself.

"This pizza has an unacceptable amount of buckshot in it. I didn't order lead toppings." :v:
Soon enough it'll be delivering gin and saccharin tablets
WE NEED AIRSUPPORT CALL IN THE PIZZAS.
I think the only way this would work is if the drone was only used for credit card purchases and Domino's didn't require signatures for credit card receipts. If it was money at the door how would they guarantee people will pay, or better yet who is to say someone randomly orders at an abandon house, waits there, and when the drone comes down they steal the drone and sell the parts, or the drone itself?
That's pretty awesome idea, that'd be a really awesome way to deliver pizza, I say go for it.
I never seen one of those fancy dominos boxes. Mine is always boring cardboard with their labels slapped on it.
I wonder what it would look like if a bird of prey decided it needed some pizza.

Online payment is the most realistic option. Many restaurants do it already; drones would only have the job of delivering the pizza.
And, well, someone could order delivery to an abandoned house, shoot the delivery boy, steal his tips, disassemble the car, and then sell the parts.

I'm pretty certain that murdering someone and stealing a drone are two entirely different things.

Someone should get on developing potato gun countermeasures, maybe there will be a market for that sort of thing.
Dominoes, at the fore-front of pizza related technologies.

CALLING IN BREADSTICK BOMBER, OVER.

Online payments still require a signature.
Maybe instead of worrying about being shot down, they should make drones that dig underground in stead :o
TACTICAL TACO STRIKE INBOUND!
It can fly over stuff, sure, but it looked slow as fuck :v:

Uh wat.

True, yes, but stealing a drone is still a crime and you would undoubtedly be persecuted, which may deter some people.
I'd take the drone as well.
