Great to see gene therapy coming along. Hopefully we can eradicate other genetic diseases soon.
If gene therapy works out well for sickle cell I hope it works for hearing restoration because I need it.
That's awesome, hopefully this or something like it will become standard, sickle cell sucks. Every sickle cell patient I ever had was constantly groaning, apparently it just feels absolutely awful all over.

It'd be really cool if we advanced to the point where we could reprogram the body not to form scar tissue, and instead regenerate like a lizard does. Then once healing is complete, revert the body back to it's normal scar program.
