ok so ive got a bottle of mucus relief DM here. Each tablet contains 20 mg DXM and 400 mg of guaifenesin. So if I was to take say 20 tablets would 8000 mg of the guaif hurt me or just make me sick?
Dude... just look for the proper thread. That would quite possibly do you some mega serious damage. It's not hard to find a bottle with just "Dextromorphan Hydrobromide" as the only active ingredient...
Ive done looked there but it doesnt say anything about a dosage of guaif...

Guaifenesin (gwye-FEN-a-sin) [3-(2-methoxyphenoxy)-1,2-propanediol] is an expectorant; it increases the production of respiratory tract fluids, thus making phlegm less viscous and easier to cough up. Guaifenesin has been shown effective as an expectorant, but is of no use as a cough suppressant. It is often combined with dextromethorphan. Guaifenesin should not be used for chronic coughs or coughs accompanied by excessive phlegm (1-2).
High doses of guaifenesin tend to induce emesis (i.e., you puke). Other effects from high guaifenesin doses are not well known, but probably not serious. Some suggest that guaifenesin may act as a muscle relaxant at high doses (an effect for which it is used in veterinary medicine).

No you wont. I've done it before. "Euphoric"? You've obviously never taken DXM before. It doesn't make you feel euphoric, it makes you nauseous. It's a dissociative, will make you feel separated, different, maybe some mild CEVs. And whats more, you wont feel much at all because you will be puking up all the DXM before it gets into you. It will be a complete waste of time.

Bullshit, I've puked and still had a good time on DXM. The guaifenesin isn't even guaranteed to make you throw up.
Also, there is euphoria, it won't just make you feel shitty

No, not bullshit. I'm not gonna go right into it, so to put it simply, 200mg is not going to do much do him, with or w/o him puking. Also, I know it's not guaranteed, but cmon, if he's taking fucking 4 grams of it then I'd like to see him enjoy himself.

I drank a big bottle of Robitussin which had like 8g of guaifenesin and I had the best DXM trip I've ever had. Only a bit of nausea at the start
It's not dangerous but Imaledge is right it'll make you vomit most likely. I also agree with Imaledge that DXM is hardly euphoric. Maybe a little, but not much. I recommend just getting a DXM only brand but if you insist on using this you'll be fine, but probably won't have a very nice come-up.
Personally, I don't mind puking at all so I'd go for it just make sure you keep a bucket nearby. I think you've got the wrong idea about the effects of DXM though... Puking may not be the worst thing you experience haha.
Also if you chuck your guts up doesn't that mean that most of the DXM won't have time to metabolize and you'll just chuck most of it up?
don't drink cough syrup.
Buy some DXM powder if you must, it's a lot cheaper too.

It's not the fact it's in your gut that causes the nausea. It's a direct effect. I say this as I've used DXM powder and been pretty unwell. By the time you are vomiting it's already gonna start hitting anyway. You will probably not lose any of the DXM.
It depends. Do you have an iron stomach? Can you hold seriously nasty shit down for at least an hour?
If so, go for it. Otherwise, you'll just puke uncontrollably.
