How many mg of hydrocodone did he injest? If it is under 40mg he should be fine, maybe loopy but fine physically. Just keep talking to him until he sobers up, make sure he doesn't pass out.

Is there a danger with mixing alcohol and pure hydrocodone? I thought the risk associated with mixing alcohol and painkillers was APAP. Since it's probably what OP meant I think it's fine to take a minimal amount of APAP with alcohol.

4000mg is a dangerous level without the influence of alcohol, I think I read that with alcohol that number is reduced to 2000mg, but I'm not entirely sure of that.

A typical pill would have probably around 350-750mg of APAP in it so I think it's fair to assume that he'd be fine, if what I said above is accurate.

If he only took one he should be alright, I took a buncha cough medicine that had APAP in it for a cold, then went out and drank a fair amount. I was pretty out of it (much more than I should have been for the amount I drank), but there were no major side effects. It really all depends on how much he had.

He'll be fine if he just had 5mg Hydro. The APAP will not really matter as it'll only be 500mg. I don't see a problem here.
