It's looking better than it did at E3 earlier this year. I still would prefer something closer to the original GR in terms of gameplay
I really miss this music.

Is it just me or are youtube servers completely fucked right now? I can barely get any video to load at anything over 144p.
I'm really glad that they brought back the sync shot and that you'll have the 3 AI dudes if you're playing solo, using the sync shot with AI was probably the only actual cool part of Future Soldier. Also they don't seem to show that here, but it seems like you'll be able to play as female operators too, that was in some recent screenshots, that's kinda cool.

I have the same issue actually, I thought it's my internet connection.
It looks fun, just worried how long it will last. Nice to hear bullet drop and penetration are in as those were missing from the E3 demos.
Don't forget when you completed a mission successfully

I reaaaalllly hope its good.
Pleaaaasssseeee be good
That rebel sequence looks fun as fuck.
not ghost recon
If you go by just the first game as what ghost recon is then it has been ghost recon since that one.
I couldn't stop seeing Tom Clancy's Metal Gear Solid 5 during this whole video :v:
Hope this is good.
Any news on an alpha or beta for this game?
That rebel sequence looks fun as fuck.
It's cool that the rebels can actually fight and die. Sticking around to fight with them after freeing them and seeing how many you can keep alive sounds like a fun way to clear a base.
As long as they change some of those weapon sounds. That suppressed M9 sounds garbage. Ubisoft usually does AMAZING work with weapon sounds in the Ghost Recon/Rogue Spear/Splinter Cell games since around 2003. I guess they have been dropping off a bit lately.
It sounds like a regular non suppressed AR that you'd expect from a third person shooter. It should sound like a snap, not The Division's ACR. I'm sure they will though. Lot of time before release and the one thing Ubisoft does really REALLY well is authenticity
I also hope you can turn off the marking of targets. Ubi lets you in Splinter Cell and Far Cry so hopefully they will here, too. I like the realism and difficulty not having built in wallhacks adds
Other than that. It looks like a decent enough game, but knowing that it's pushing co-op and I have a friend who I've played just about every co-op game there is with, is going to probably make this a lot of fun
Looks like a mix of Splinter Cell and Mercenaries, which I suppose to some will be a good thing. The lack of an attempt to emulate the original game and its expansions is frustrating, though. The original game provided action that was a lot more subdued than what this game has shown so far, which was made more frenetic anyway because of the intensity of the firefights - they were more lethal, and the enemy felt as capable as you were.
Wildlands, like most modern titles, seems to insist on an artificial power-fantasy of you as the player character overcoming the enemy because they are inherently worse than you are. I'd much prefer it if the player had to be better through their own ability, not because they're automatically at an advantage. The dots over everything cheapens the stealth aspect if you know where all of the enemy are - part of the tension on OGR was sneaking about in the woods not knowing where patrols were. Yes, there was the threat indicator (if you had it on), but it gave you a general direction, not a pinpoint XYZ overlay of where the enemy was. Yes, the enemy appeared on your GPS as red dots, but you had to enter your GPS view in order to see that - you couldn't immediately react to the threat as the system in Wildlands lets you. Where's the fear of being caught if you know where all the sentries are? You already have the advantage of being able to poke the 3rd person camera around corners and over walls, the dots over everything on top of that is just ridiculous.
Less is more - if you have the opportunity to turn all of the overlays off, I think it'd be a lot more enjoyable.

to be honest, this is probably going to be the closest equivalent you can get to a co-op MGSV that doesn't involve zombies

I've never played a Ghost Recon, but aren't all of the games barely connected by gameplay?

That reminds that Mercenaries needs either a reboot a remaster of their first game.
hmph. i was gonna skip this before, but now i'm enticed by it. my only concern is having people to play with.

It seems like they're carrying over the squad mechanics from Future Soldier so it'll probably be pretty damn fun even playing solo with AI too.
Honestly, i'm still paranoid of the game suffering traditional Ubisoft open world behavior, but it does have a nice evolution of the Ghost Recon series. The first game was practically a faster paced Rainbow Six in mostly outdoor environments with real-time planning, but Ghost Recon 2 was a more action-oriented third-person-shooter well before everything Tom Clancy was 'bastardized', and the games after that refined the formula.
While open world is making me weary nowadays, this seems pretty much like a multiplayer-focused effort to keep pushing the series' design onwards.

The answer is simple, more easy-access for the newer players taking things which they are most likely used to from similar games, if everyone grew up having played the original GR or even up to Advanced Warfighter one could assume the game would be a more refined version of those.
Wish it had an MGS V style cover system tho, just akwardly shoving your face in cover is a bit weird.
I really want this to be good.. but the last couple of Ubisoft games that they hyped up as shit all made me regret buying the games after like 3 hours play.
Honestly, to me that look really boring. And that previous video that had with coop doesn't make me want to play.
