I have been playing around making small mini games and shit for the past few years this is my first full project and i would like to show you guys on face punch.
You should write something about this game cause this video by itself doesn't explain much. What are your goals? What are the gameplay mechanics? Are you the only guy working on it? for now it just looks like a neat level generator.
As of right now i am the only person developing it I do have a friend that will be helping me write the story after i finish all the mechanics everything isnt completely planed out yet other than it will be a roguelike with a basic leveling system and randomly generated levels plus a side campaign. my inspiration was the binding of Isaac and torchlight 2
Hmmm, interesting. Seems like an alright procedural generation system. Also I presume that the graphics are pre-alpha at the moment? Like placeholders for what you eventually plan to implement?

This projects only been in development for 2 weeks because of school but it about 4 weeks I will be developing full time for the next 3 months.
Usually not a big fan of the "indie" genre because the simplified graphics just scream excused laziness. Hopefully you'll flesh them out more. The music's quite catchy but I can't give any more feedback until you actually explain the point of the game, the video doesn't tell much.
looks pretty neat when the level is being created

It's just a placeholder for now.
Needs more Phil Fish.
Needs more Phil Fish.
that guys a total douche nozzle
what language/libraries are you using for this
what language/libraries are you using for this
It's Gamemaker, but it's using GML.

It's so annoying when people expect AAA graphics to just squirt out of a tube if any amount of effort is put in by a single developer who may not even be an artist, but mostly a programmer :v:

[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jI35cF6.png[/thumb] Should i make a thread some where about udates and stuff to this? if so where?
I didn't know Chris Hansen developed games.
Shit dude. I want to be able to learn how to program and script and whatnot but it just doesn't click with me. I've tried making Love2D games as well but I don't know how to do anything myself and always look up tutorials on what other people have already made. It makes me feel like I didn't do anything and I quit. Way to go on this, it looks really nice.

The thread will probably die quickly because even active threads get pushed back to 2nd page due to the high volume of posting in there but if the thread is a few days old it's fine to update it if you have relevant new information. You can also just post about it in the what are you working on thread in the programming forum

Just keep posting updates in WAYWO, that's your best bet.
Will start uploading test versions of the game tomorrow http://isaacbaldwin.x10.mx/
This is neat! I'd ask my friend Daniel to do music, he'd jump right on it! Plus, his large fanbase would signalboost your game quite a bunch.
I'm not sure what direction you intend to take with this but it would be cool if you could customize how your character looks.
I'm not sure what direction you intend to take with this but it would be cool if you could customize how your character looks.
I want there to be some kind of character customizing
