We've all heard about the rapture right? When all of the people who are faithful to the Lord will rise up to heaven away from the tribulation soon to come. BUT WAIT! What about those furry family members you've grown to love? It never says that animals will take part in this, but thanks to some kind athiests, you need not worry any longer! So yeah, while browsing around in my government class, I came across this website that is either a good joke or a bad scam called http://eternal-earthbound-pets.com/ It says that you can pay a fee and if the rapture happens within 10 years and you go away to see Jesus, they will take care of your pets while you are gone. All of the staff members are confirmed athiests so they WILL still be here to do so. I'm actually Christian, but I have to admit, athiests have a good sense of humor :v:
So you believe your gonna be sucked up by a tractor beam to magic land when the time comes?
So you believe your gonna be sucked up by a tractor beam to magic land when the time comes?
That's what they're hoping people believe, however I personally don't believe in the rapture.
It's a parody ;)
Oh God lol.
It's a parody ;)
a parody of what
That's what they're hoping people believe, however I personally don't believe in the rapture.
"I'm a Christian, but I just make up my own religion and pick and choose what I want to believe and don't want to believe."
"I'm a Christian, but I just make up my own religion and pick and choose what I want to believe and don't want to believe."
A lot of Christians don't, the rapture is one of those things that isn't set in stone. It's more of a personal interpretation. Anyways, let's not start a debate.
You can't be a modern Christian and NOT pick and choose. We don't want him stoning rape victims, now do we?
But picking and choosing practically negates it all, religious folk just choose the bits that fit in modern times and ignore the rest
a parody of what
Christians and their belief that animals don't go to heaven and that you magically fly off the planet at the end of the world. Is it really that hard to see?
But picking and choosing practically negates it all, religious folk just choose the bits that fit in modern times and ignore the rest
It's says somewhere in the bible that you can't pick and choose and you have to follow everything. Which must mean there is another part in the bible where it says picking and choosing is just fucking dandy.
You people should stop trying to quote the bible when you haven't read it. It doesn't actually say anything about the rapture, it's just that some people interpret it differently.
Leave it alone. This isn't about whether religion is right or wrong. I love how the second poster decided to completely ignore the point of the thread and create his own arguement. On topic, I think this is funny and clever. I wonder if they are making anything :v:
Ahaha. I hope people actually payed them.

Earthbound was a pretty sweet game.
Earthbound was a pretty sweet game.
I agree. Epic final boss too. But really, there are people that believe this stuff?
You people should stop trying to quote the bible when you haven't read it. While this could be taken contextually as I take it, I guess the point your trying to make is that until you've studied a religion and understand the contexts behind parts of it you can not make an educated statement like christian pick and choose...
Would the prissy atheists in this thread please leave? stop trying to tell the OP what he should beleive in, youre missing the point of this thread in favor of your pissy assumption that every Christian is a cloud minded bible hugger.
"I'm a Christian, but I just make up my own religion and pick and choose what I want to believe and don't want to believe."
Umm. Yeah it's called all the branches of Christianity. It's called interpreting the bible for it's moral messages, not taking it literally.
I've been to the rapture, yeah i remember it was paradise. Lights everywhere like one big city, all the shops you could get, an amazing art studio with piano lessons. It even had its own top of the line security force. Then this dick head named Atlas started telling me what to do.
payed and then the animals are sold probably
