He's interviewing the guy who plays Golum.
I like how genuine Colbert is
I see a whole bunch of American tv presenters and talk show hosts and they just feel so stiff and 'hah ha look at me and how amazing I am!' but Colbert seems to be really chill
Even though the idea of his character is to pretend to be stiff and "'ha ha look at me and how amazing I am," he kinda doesn't pull it off because he's so chill and nice that it bleeds through his act.
That just makes me love him more <3

Seriously though, I would talk about LOTR with him so much.
Apparently Colbert knows more about the LOTR lore than the actual lore adviser for the hobbit movie. Fucking BAMF

Not a LOT. It's never specified, but i'm pretty damn sure she's got almost everything locked down. From the origins and 30 different names of the Istari to how the Dwarves were created separate from every other race to saurons real origin to... well. I think she's got the majority of shit down and he just found some obscure shit to own her on. That's cool. But the DVD appendices for LoTR shows that they got their shit down before touching the narrative.
Colbert and Stewart are both fucking incredible.
Love those two assholes.
