• Apples, Bitter or sour?

My friend and I are arguing about this, and I think Red Delicious apples taste more bitter than they do sour. I looked online, but there are no direct answers that I could find. What's your opinion?
Bitter means the same as sour. They're synonyms. Edit: Oh dear golly, looks like I'm wrong. :D
No they aren't..
I thought sour and bitter are essentially the same thing, at least for fruit.
Sweet as a baby's ass.
Red are usually sweeter than green ones, which tend to be sour/bitter.
Greens are sour, reds are sweet. It also depends on the store you buy them from and where the store buys them from. Green Granny Smiths however make the best pie.
I used to like Granny Smith apples, but after I started eating the red ones I could never go back to the annoyingly sour green ones.
I love sour ones. And sour and bitter are not the same.
Apple :3 FUCK YEAH I AM OPTIMISTIC FAGGOT!

It's an apple.:butt:
I like Crabapples, but I haven't had any in ages.
I work in a fruit department in a supermarket, so my opinion matters. Red delicious apples suck because they have a pasty texture and aren't very sweet. I prefer a nice large, ripe Pink Lady. Sweetest apple around in Summer.
The New York brand of apples are fucking delicious. Nice and Sweet :3:
Yellow ones are best.
It's only bitter if you haven't washed off the pesticide enjoy your colon cancer
It's only bitter if you haven't washed off the pesticide enjoy your colon cancer
This. I've never had an apple that tasted bitter. It's always the pesticide. Apparently many people don't know the difference between sour and bitter - go suck on a really sour candy and then suck on a bitter medication pill. Bitter is far far FAR more unpleasant tasting than sour.
