Back in the days, when computers were an adventure...
I'm amazed at the frame rate its pulling, granted it is just basic wire-frame graphics.
Kathode ray tube display... BWWWAAHAHAHAHA Also, I love how the image starts flickering when he draws a few extra freehand lines. Seriously, huge credit to those guys though, for building the foundation of fucking everything graphical.
Hey! it's canadian too!
Wow, you need at least 75 in science to activate a terminal like that
I wasn't expecting the 3D part, it's amazing what they were capable of back then. It's like a prehistoric version of Blender :v:
I bet this was the most impressive thing on the fucking planet when it was first shown.

Does anyone have an English version of this?
Back in the days, when computers were an adventure...
Install Vista without any patches or updates and have an adventure!
I always love watching this older CG stuff.
It's funny because it has better shape tweening than Flash.
I would have orgasmed if I was in the presence of this back then.
Still shocked there isn't a -punk prefix for '70s-'80s technological styles.
I'm amazed at the frame rate its pulling, granted it is just basic wire-frame graphics.
Vector graphics can be drawn much faster than bitmaps.
Still shocked there isn't a -punk prefix for '70s-'80s technological styles.
"Retro" might work. Though only artists I know of that use that technological/art style is Boards of Canada [editline]April 20th, 2012[/editline] Retropunk? Analoguepunk?
But can it run Crysis?
But can it run Crysis?
no
The funny thing about it is even though it's the technology is so simple it's so bloody hard to do anything because the interface is so tedious/complex. He probably worked all day just to get it to do that :v:
no
But can it run nethack?
But can it run nethack?
Vector graphics, still no
Vector graphics, still no
Text, so yes. Wait. Unicode. Back to no.
I don't know how they could draw all day using a mouse.
Still shocked there isn't a -punk prefix for '70s-'80s technological styles.
What would you call the fallout series' style?
What would you call the fallout series' style?
Art Deco? Fallout uses 20's to early 60's, nothing past. I'd call 70's/80's vectorpunk but that's just me.
I like how you can tell which of the two guys is the animator because he's the tall thin one in a turtleneck
