I love Channel Criswell's videos.
They are so insightful and artistic.
I never heard or seen this guys work before this video.
Now I'm hooked.
ChannelChriswell is a baller. I think he's even surpassed EveryFrameAPainting.

These are my favorites.
Damn, I didn't really think just about how deep cinematography and film making theory really goes until you see these analysis videos.
Just watching this dude's videos gave me a deeper appreciation of cinema.
I remember watching Stalker just to see how it related to the games and was taken off guard by the monologues and philosophy assaulting my brain. Enjoyed the hell out of that movie.
The editing on these guy's analysis videos are great as well that tell a story on their own. They do analysis using the same cinematic language as the material they cover. It's great.
Always loved Tarkovsky's work. He really is a visual poet

Tarkovsky is a cinematographic god, I love watching his movies as much as I love watching his movies.
criswell is like every frame a painting but 10x better
i like every frame a painting though
except one time i saw a student film by people in my grade and it's literally just them ripping on every scene showcased in the edgar wright visual comedy video (every frame a painting) and i got fucking mad
on the topic of tark though this scene is still extremely beautiful to me

It's a shame Tarkovsky died so young. I would've loved to see how his films would have developed into the 21st century.
