Always got more respect for Bill Maher than the average crap from the left these days.
I would expect Maher to send you up the wall Tudd.
He's super liberal, and he's a pretty fucking annoying one at that from where I sit

He actually has common sense unlike alot of leftists. I actually like Bill Maher and would be fine talking to him any day despite some other political differences. He atleast tackles Islam critically, doesn't buy into identity politics, and knows quite abit of history from the documentaries I've watched of him. Not only that, but he actually invites people of the opposition on.
If more people were like him on the liberal camp, we would be in a much better place honestly.
The irony of people getting offended that other people got offended at something unimportant never ceases to amaze me.
Hopefully the election of Trump will demolish the liberal left that is so incredibly politically correct while they are constantly tripping over each other in turn to be offended for everything.

Downside is he's (as far as I remember) an alternative medicine anti-vaxxer.

Can you see why people might not entirely agree with the idea that you are interested in genuine dialogue?

If anything it's going to further entrench people.

One of the pros outweigh the cons situations.

Not sure how it's me shutting off dialogue when I just admitted that Bill Maher who is a super liberal is someone I listen to.
Not like I don't listen to the dialogue the hard leftists spout.
One of the pros outweigh the cons situations.
Ohoho hell no.
Vaccines are the reason we don't have people kicking the bucket over what we nowadays see as small things to get sick over.
Being against something as fundamental as that makes being pants-on-head retarded seem sensible.

So who is the perfect candidate then for the left?
Besides he isn't even full anti-vaxxer. Just the "we need more regulation and oversight on it for health concerns." kinda guy who still wants them.

He won't

Tudd, I want you to think about the statement you replied to me with, and ask yourself "IF this was directed at me, would I believe this person honestly wants to have a conversation", if you sincerely answer "yes" to that, I'm not sure you're actually being honest with yourself.
bill maher is a germ theory denialist. I didn't think it was possible to be this much of an unholy moron in this day and age, but there you go.
I don’t believe in vaccination either. That’s a… well, that’s a… what? That’s another theory that I think is flawed, that we go by the Louis Pasteur theory, even though Louis Pasteur renounced it on his own deathbed and said that Beauchamp(s) was right: it’s not the invading germs, it’s the terrain. It’s not the mosquitoes, it’s the swamp that they are breeding in.
actual, real quote from bill maher.

I mean this statement, as much as you believe it to be a non partisan, fair to both sides statement, can not ever be.
Look at the obvious bias on display.
The setting of this show is weird.
I've always preferred the likes of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert in political comedy to Maher.

It's always easier to make your comedy more impactful when your entire routine is revolved around political "black face".

what
When did SJWs and PC Culture took over the democratic ticket again? I thought it was Hillary & crew
its really just a lot of blaming toward different things now. fake news, media, sjw's, hillary, russia, racists, all on the spin the wheel of who to blame today. Not to say it doesnt have a lot to do with those, because it certainly does, but people complaining on twitter isn't why democrats lost by a long shot, and they sure as shit aren't gonna change.
Same old Bill Mahar. Always right. Always slightly funny. Always a smug asshole about it.
The setting of this show is weird.
Yeah, they changed it and now it seems like something a comic book villain Illuminati would speak from.
On Bill Maher, I agree with not everything he says and he always comes off as an asshole, but at the same time that's part of what makes his show work. He also usually brings on people most left wing people wouldn't even touch with a ten foot pole which is nice. Best part is that he mostly just doesn't give a fuck.

Sounds like you're the one who's offended and, dare I say, got triggered really hard.

I didn't say you were shutting off dialogue, I said you don't come across as genuine when you make massive generalizations about the left.
[editline]28th January 2017[/editline]
You like the image or the idea of agreeing with leftists when they say things you like but you don't actually like having genuine conversations with them where you can try to come to some compromise.
bill maher is the worst liberal alive just my opinion
[editline]29th January 2017[/editline]
