DO IT YOURSELF!!! A capo! These things cost alot of money! Like 20$ Now you can build your own with two household items!! 1. A screw clamp 2. A clothespin Result! FUCK YEAH! Works like a charm! a screw clamp costs more than a cheap capo, and it's going to fuck up the neck
a screw clamp costs more than a cheap capo, and it's going to fuck up the neck
You don't screw it so tight that it breaks anythins. It doesn't have to be so thight to hold the strings down. It's completely safe for as long as you have something between the clamp and the neck.
$20 is fuck all, and even then you don't need anywhere near that much for a working capo. Got mine for a quid, it's a simple plastic and rubber rectangle that pushes down the strings, with a fastener that goes around the back of the neck.
my local rehearsal rooms gave me a few people had left behind and not claimed, freebies!

i was actually talking about the neck, the bottom looks like it's just metal, which would scratch the wood, fuck up the finish, etc., and would make it a bitch to play when you took it off.

Wouldn't really want to play a guitar with a screw clamp.
capos don't cost 20$
Seems like more trouble than getting a capo. Only Oasis uses capos.
I've had this capo for 7 years. it's $15, stop being so cheap it's bad for your guitar.
a large screw clamp like that costs more and could damage your guitar and using a clothespin to hold the strings down probably doesn't do a very good job You can get a decent capo for 15$, and if you look around local shops you can probably find one for less.
A better substitute is get a pencil and a bunch of rubber bands. Lie the pencil on the strings then wrap the elastics around one end of the pencil and then behind the neck onto the other end. I used that before I could get to the music store one day. :D

That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Or you could do this. That is if you can't buy one.
