This guy's videos (all 2 of them- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdhNkv4ryuM) are fucking great
Fun fact, there actually is a zombie survival mod for BF2/Project Reality

Really funny, but that Dean Hall impression is so bad.

That mod looks better than DayZ...
Dayz has clunky and sticky animations that stops you changing weapons.
So many questions regarding how the hell he did that dean hall model/what engine he used.
I think he recorded his own voice with a separate program while playing

Good old GoldSrc (HL1,CS1.6,DOD,ect.) He's making use of the classic "mouth" micinput(or wav file)-to-bone-rotation animation for the talking. I'm guessing he just made that whole model from scratch, would be pretty easy considering low poly.

Wasn't that in CS 1.6? I renember seeing the old Phoenix model flap it's mouth whenever a guy talked.
DayZ without zombies is just arma 2..

I assume he took an existing model, retextured it and just recorded himself talking in front of a green screen. Also replaced the bomb with a controller.
Oh my god I want more of this

Yes it does. It looks very much like old CS model from 1.6 with a texture swap. Even the mouth movement looks like 1.6 voice chat.
Looks way better than DayZ.
Well obviously for the movement.
And due to that it runs at a steady 60 fps.
Why aren't more developers going like "Fuck it! Let's dial the graphical fidelity 10 years back so that our production costs go waaaay down and we have a game that is guaranteed to feel amazing to play".
I just can't help but keep laughing at the way the model reacts to him talking......even to the looking offscreen for the "WHO PUT TANKS IN THE GAME!" and looking up to the "LOOT DROP LOOT DROP!"

The OP's video is Project Reality, a BF2 mod that has nothing to do with zombies or survival. 90% of what's possible in the RV (ArmA 2) engine isn't in BF2's refractor, that and the largest map (16km2, ~50% of which is water) is still only a fraction of the size of Chernarus. Don't get me wrong, PR's an awesome game but I'd take ArmA over it any day of the week. As for PR:Z, it may play "tighter" than DayZ ever will, but again the maps are small and there's a hell of a lot they simply can't do with it. Shit, you can't even pick up multiple items unless they're part of the same kit.

I'm aware of that.
But my main point with DayZ was that it plays like arse and runs like crap too.
Although: games that run bad seem to be a trend these days.

At least Project Reality isn't clunky as fuck.

PR is fucking lodes of fun. Some rounds can go on for a hour or more but God damn it if it isn't fun seeing people Ahola Snackbar British/US tanks or everyone spamming the yes command for the Viet Cong as you over run positions.

One of the last games i played on PR before i stopped playing it to move onto other games lasted literally a whole day, the entire squad went afk in a bunker on the corner of the map so we could all go eat dinner.
That low poly PewDie-Wannabe is the icing on the cake.
