Singapore police are questioning a man who threatened to bring down a Qantas flight from Sydney to Singapore. The man was restrained by flight stewards after he made threats to disrupt QF31 using mind power. According to ABC reporter Nick Luchinelli, who was onboard the flight, it seemed the middle-aged man was either under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both. He was suffering some sort of delusion and people sitting close to him said he was threatening to use the power of his mind to bring the flight down. The stewards had to take the threat seriously so he had his arms and legs cuffed and remained that way for the rest of the flight. Singaporean police boarded the flight after passengers disembarked.
The stewards had to take the threat seriously so he had his arms and legs cuffed and remained that way for the rest of the flight.
only in singapore :rolleye:
I got it.
The stewards had to take the threat seriously so he had his arms and legs cuffed and remained that way for the rest of the flight.

had to take the threat seriously

SERIOUSLY
Wait, what?
What a silly man, it's impossible for Qantas planes to crash. Hasn't he seen Rain Man?
Wait, what?
That's because he just might have had something REALLY dangerous on him, like a gun or explosives. Common sense security.
Can he stop the heart of a goat though?
Things like this makes me lul.
Doubt he's as good as this guy
Doubt he's as good as this guy
At least if he was like that guy we could take him seriously. God, I still can't get over that. Just... ugh.
Wait, what?
Any threat is a serious threat. People aren't stupid, you don't just make empty threats without expecting to follow through or experience the full force of the law if you fail to.
Ahahah, the way he looks at the camera whenever he pulls a trick off.
[Crazy Man]: Look! up there! see that plane!? [Reporter]: Yes and? [Crazy Man]: Watch me bring that down with my MiND POWERS! [Reporter]: *stares at crazy man* whats that attached to your left arm? [Crazy Man]: *looks* By the gods! my incredible mind powers have spawned me a BAZOOKA!!!
So they had to cuff him, even though it would take only his mind to blow it up. hmmm
Use him as a secret weapon.
It also reminded me of this South Park episode, but I couldn't find it in decent quality.
I see the Psyker gene is becoming more common. [editline]09:42PM[/editline] /obvious reference.

[*]He said he could use mind powers and was obviosuly under the influence.
Other than that, news as usual. Also, 70s Russia would love to get a hold of this dude. :v:

You can sneak shit on anywhere. If they fail to address a threat, it could mean their life and the life of many others.
Hardcore.
Why did they cuff his hands if he was going to use his mind powers? I just concentrated. I brought up mental images of a bomb detonator in my hand, and then suddenly, these hands connected to these arms, but are not really mine, come up beside me. They looked exactly like my arms, but I was controlling them with my mind! So I thought for one of them to get a detonator, so it reaches down into my pocket, and a detonator suddenly appears in it's hand! I concentrated really hard for it to pull the trigger, and then it d- BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!
hot [editline]10:52PM[/editline]
Why did they cuff his hands if he was going to use his mind powers?
you can control your arms using your mind, and control them into touching the detonator on an explosive vest
Why did they cuff his hands if he was going to use his mind powers?
He was obviously insane or under the influence of drugs. He could have been dangerous to both himself and others.

Maybe he had chewing gum. :downs:
actually planes are equipped with mindpower-neutralizing handcuffs so it doesn't seem like mind powers actually exist because they don't want people freaking out about mind terrorists
Not Quantas!
Mind Powers like Darth Vader? I can just see him crushing the plane with his two fingers... and then killing himself.
