Well as it is common knowledge among my friends on the internet and a good portion of Facepunch, my father died a year ago on December 30th. He is the reason that I got more into photography and was more motivate to actually make something out of my life and get an early start. However, when he used to show me his photography, I took it for granted since I was such a fucking video game nerd. Basically, I need help finding the website where he kept his photography ( I know he had one, and I'm pretty sure it was a public website similar to flickr, because his photos had comments. )
Some background info:
Name: Kevin Michael Kelly
Camera: Canon EOS40D
Location: Austin, Texas
Get to work internet detectives!
Edit:
After googling "Kevin Michael Kelly Photography", I got a public profile of this guy

Not him ok so don't post that one!
Did he have any aliases that you know of?
Edit: You could also try getting into his email, which would probably have account information for whatever website was used.
All I can remember was some weird alias he used like 9 years ago and it was "magicalkev" (lol)
Maby some of your dad's close friends know the name of his website.

I have no way of getting in contact with them, and my step mom was a gold digging whore, so talking to her is the last thing on my list of things to do. (Not to mention that she probably wouldn't even know the site)

That's another thing, he was really meticulous with passwords and changed them to some random number/letter combo pretty much every week.
Did your dad have address books? You might be able to find some contacts there.
Oh that just made me think, I have his blackberry in the kitchen. Maybe I should plug that in and check it.
That sounds useful, especially if he had it linked with an email address.
That sounds useful, especially if he had it linked with an email address.
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking.
Edit:
Holy shit this blackberry has 3 different emails linked to it and 71 new messages :psyduck:
I hope the blackberry works, considering Google isn't turning up with anything.
Edit:
That's actually the saddest thing I've ever read on Facepunch (finding his emails, that is).
Oh man, this blackberry is depressing me. :frown:
His recent texts are filled with descriptions of nightmares he was having prior to his suicide.

One from step-mom on January 1st, 2009
"My beloved Kevin,
I am so lot without you. You are such a huge part of me. I don't know how to live without you. I cry all the time. I cannot sleep and cannot eat. Only one wish I have that you would be alive. I am so deeply in love with you. I will always remember you,
Your loving wife,
Yana"
In other news, still no information on photography website.

no dude don't read them :\
please seriously it's best not to =[
Alright, so far I've got that he was a member of http://www.shutterpoint.com which is a stock photography site where you have to renew your account for storage space or you get deleted. His account was deleted on Jan. 6th. However, this may not be the only website where he kept his work. I'll do some more digging.

Uh, I can't tell if his account is deactivated though or something. I can't seem to get to it.

Ok I got to it but I can't copy paste image links. I'll have to screenshot and crop some for you guys.

Aww man, my dad missed the Last Chance Early Bird Special deal on betterphoto.com!
Wow, i just :google:'d your dads name, and here is a news article i found, i'll remove the link if you find it offensive.

Those photographs are amazing!
Yeah paul don't worry about it. That was posted on FP before by me. Digging through his blackberry is pretty interesting, but some of the buttons are broken which makes navigation difficult.
[editline]05:29AM[/editline]
Haha, my dad has pictures of himself entitled "Extremely attractive man" on his phone
Keep us updated! :buddy:
Lol I found a picture of me when I was a little kid wearing my armadillo shirt that says "TASTES LIKE CHICKEN"
[editline]05:35AM[/editline]
I'm going to try to find a way to move these off the blackberry.
Perfumly, good shit man, you made me cries.
Wow at those photos, they really are amazing. He had a real talent.
hey kasper i'm gonna jerk it to your stepmoms photo tonight just letting you know

eheheheh
Hey guys I can't figure out how to move files off of this blackberry (SIM Card deactivated, AT&T Phone, ancient blackberry, and I tried the Blackberry Desktop Manager to no avail.) Any more options?
What's the BB model number, and do you have at&t?
Maybe you can swap in an active sim card and send them somehow?
Or perhaps call your local at&t and see if someone there could help.
I would start by searching the BB number and file transfer info for it on a BB forum.
Getting someone who really knows what they're doing at at&t is hit or miss.
Just a couple ideas, but I would love to be able to help you out.
I use Verizon, so I don't have any sim cards, will check the model number when I get home; currently in class.
I may take it into town today to AT&T so I can get the files moved to a flash drive or something.

Got it. Thanks for the help everyone :) (I'm pretty sure that this picture of him was taken when he was in Egypt)
Now I see where you get it from, man. Sorry to hear it :frown:
Looks like you found a lot, but I was going to ask if you had any of his pictures that would have been on the site. Dump one onto TinEye.com and you'll have some good places to start. I love that site
Your dad looks insanely badass, kinda looks like that dude from deadliest catch:
