This game got a sequel wtf
Well uhh... At least it looks nice? [editline]11th June 2014[/editline] Oh and it has that crysis attachments system thing. That's pretty neat.
I couldn't play the first game because it conflicted with my sound card, every sound was like it's coming directly from the player, and at 100% volume.
oh, that reminds me. i made a video of how garbage the original homefront back when it was on a free weekend on steam. i was 15 back when i edited it so excuse the... everything.
This actually looks great. Homefront 1's MP was trying to be a carbon copy of CoD with a couple gimmicks thrown in. It was easy as fuck too, I don't think I ever went below 3:1 KDR even despite my horrendous framerates and hangups
alright, finished up watching the video. i don't have high hopes for the actual gameplay and story, but it looks like they're trying to stray away from FPS games' typical "go from A to B and kill the mans" type of thing. I think it'll turn out okay if they can nail that. Guns also look rad, and that first person cover system's cool, too. Also things don't look.... plasticy like they did in the first game. Like, the designs for the characters in homefront 1 were so bland and weird that everyone looked like some cheap action figure.
Looks really nice, i can see it's the console version, So i hope it will look better on the PC. Can't wait!
Holy shit the NKs in this game really did a number on USA. Seems like a decent game.
Feels like city 17 with a North Korean twist, looking forward to this.
i really like the art style, that m16 he's using looks hella nice too. i still can't get over the fact that the north koreans somehow overran the US though, just seems a little silly. but if it's a fun game (and it looks like it is) i wont care too much

wow that... actually looks good
This is a whole new dev team working with just the similar title.
he picked up a brick and threw it! It seems like such a small thing but there arnt many games that you can just pick up peices of the enviornment and use them as weapons.
At 5:01 that's NOT the weapon he picked up... :|
This looks so much like Far Cry 3 its ridiculous. It even has the same cover system as 3.
At 5:01 that's NOT the weapon he picked up... :|
It said "LMG Mod" when he picked it up, so I'm guessing it was actually an attachment he picked up (either an attachment for an LMG, or possibly an Ares Shrike upper receiver for that AR-15), that just had the model of a whole weapon. EDIT: it was a Shrike upper receiver, you can see him mount it on around 10:12.
This looks so much like Far Cry 3 its ridiculous. It even has the same cover system as 3.
Farcry didnt invent First Person cover system. Killzone 2 had a first person cover system and Im sure before that other fps games had them as aswell.
Looks really nice, i can see it's the console version.
I don't think so, early on the command prompt kept glitching between "press F chokehold" and "Press Right Stick chokehold" I think it was the PC version.
Really wish Homefront was like this, the game would've gotten a better start-off, I may just try this out, as long as the reviews are pretty good for it.
I am probably going to get this. I enjoyed the first games multiplayer, and rumor has it that you can play the European Union in HF2MP. Also, that dropin kit for an AR-15/M4 Platform... They actually fucking researched current projects with the US Military and how the civilian markets are going. Me likey. Hopefully they'll allow further customization for the weapons, I'd absolutley love to see the ability to change out the lower for a different ammo type.
I enjoy games where I am the underdog and I have to fight 'the man' It's a reason I loved HL2 so much, the rebels are rag-tag as fuck and are fighting tooth and claw.

And the game ends with the US military somehow punching through the Koreans and retaking San Francisco. Apparently, four years later, the Koreans manage to stage another invasion and invade everything east of the Missisipi. What the hell

The dev in the video says it takes the same premise as HF1, but it won't follow the exact same story as the first game. It is like a Reboot that is also a sequel I guess?
i guess everyone is completely ignoring that somehow north korea took over or joined (wat) the south without any outside involvement once so ever.
it's an alternate reality, not reality that's how Wolfenstein has the nazi's winning the war, but we all know that didn't happen, how could they make a game about that without us noticing?!

The franchise is being taken over by a different developer who probably had complaints with how Kaos executed the story from the beginning (they definitely had complaints with the gameplay), and now that they're taking over they're implementing as many changes as they think they can.

I find it hard to believe they united so quickly and he managed to work his way up to become to leader of Unified Korea and changed it to a dictatorship(?) by 2017
