A free internet just doesn't seem like the best choice for anyone besides the little guy. The little guy being those who use it most often, the big guys being Business and Government hate the idea that the little guy has means of going behind their back.
With piracy on the rise, websites like wikileaks popping up, and social unrest it isnt long now before they start cracking down everywhere.
