What was that from? I was told this constantly when I was younger and now it's just habitual to put a slit in them before I microwave them.
i always put a slit in them anyway so the center would get just as cooked as the outside

It's the morse code for YYZ, unsurprisingly.
This is because they were on a tour and their plane's code/number/whateverimnotgoodwithplanes was YYZ, so they could hear the pilot morse code 'YYZ' all the time.
It catched on to them, so they wrote a song around it later.
